My husband was very skeptical and swore I wasted money, but that first night sitting out under it, He totally changed his mind and was happy that I had gotten it. Purchased this heater for my patio in November, I live in Florida so it doesn’t get very cold often so it’s only been used a few times. Here we in January with record lows and it won’t even turn on. Thought maybe the pull cord was stuck so checked that, still nothing.

This heater literally saved our bacon in this last a massive ice storm. Lost power and then it got cold. We have a small, permanently installed natural gas heater specifically used for power outages, but it didn’t ignite when the lights went out. It left me scrambling. I had a couple of tiny electric heaters that are only used to keep pipes from freezing. These are not enough to keep us warm in single digits. I took this heater, hung it from the ceiling of the kitchen, fired up the generator, camped out in the kitchen on sleeping bags - and we were toasty! I hadn’t been able to thoroughly check the heater out yet. Boy, oh boy! This is a well made heater. Everything about it spells quality. From the hanging hardware to the solidly built cage surrounding the elements, this is an awesome and stoutly made heater. I was so glad it had a plug and didn’t need to be hardwired. This means it is portable and can go wherever the need is. I ordered it for my greenhouse, but it will now always considered a back up house heater if necessary. It is highly functional and utilitarian, and has good looks. With the plug, installation couldn’t be easier. The all metal housing and the generously sized heating element area that really puts out the heat. THANK YOU Amazon Vine and Fanspex.
