I gave this as a gift and was told this did a great job with eggs because of how evenly it heated and was very easy to clean due to the porcelain finish. She cooked a few other small dishes for herself in it and it's been promoted to a "front of the cabinet" dish right away.

This pan isn’t too bad for the price. I noticed a lot of people complain about the enamel coating chipping off but I haven’t had that issue yet and it doesn’t appear to be weakening anywhere either, so I’m assuming they improperly washed and/or seasoned it? But I’ve been surprised honestly with how decent this pan is, especially its enamel coating. It not only looks nice but is nicely non stick and easy to clean. I love eight inch pans because most of the time you don’t need larger unless cooking for several people, but for just two or so it’s perfect, and much easier to clean sand handle in general with its reduced size and weight compared to a larger cast iron pan. The little pour spouts on the sides are nice additions also. So in my opinion, this is worth the small price and won’t chip if you take proper care of it.

I have done everything that you can do to try and make a pan function like a nonstick. No matter what you do to this pan, it will not work for something even as simple as eggs. Eggs can be tricky. Most pans can handle it with just adequate amounts of fat. Not this pan. You have to wash it, thoroughly, after every use or it’s not able to be used for a subsequent dish that day. This is not a nonstick pan. It holds heat well. It cooks evenly. But it doesn’t even clean up very easily. I can’t even imagine what I will use this far going forward . It’s a pain. I would not recommend anybody purchase this pan. I’m sure I’ll be giving it away.

This pan is awesome! And it is possible to make an omelet without sticking. You can’t treat it like a normal pan, turn it on, and go. It requires patience. Here’s my method: 1. Preheat pan over medium heat with WATER in it for five minutes. 2. Empty water & dry inside of pan. 3. Add butter. Wait til it melts enough to coat the pan. 4. Add scrambled eggs. Wait until almost fully cooked on top. Flip. Add topping(s). Wait about 30 seconds. Fold. 5. Enjoy. Cons: I only have one complaint so far. You have to be careful when using an electric stovetop with coils. Don’t slide it across the burner because it scrapes the enamel on the bottom. I wish it didn’t do this, or there was a warning about it for first-time users. The pics are my pretty little omelet and the pan right after making it. No gunk! Yay!
