I rarely review products that I have purchased but felt I needed to for this product. The Whole House Iron Water Filter is exactly what we needed. It is very affordable and offers the same or better filtration as other filters costing substantially more. No routine flushing is needed, unlike most other filter systems. Just re-condition the filter media with a salt rinse as needed. The media is rated for up to 700,000 gallons and the media can be replaced very easily by the homeowner when re-conditioning is no longer viable. The unit is compact and very well built. The two valves that are included are extremely solid and have a union on both ends making installing and servicing the filter a breeze. The filter arrived quickly and was very well packaged. I can't believe the quality of this filter at the low price point that they are selling it. I contacted the company with a few questions before the installation and Justin was incredibly helpful with information and recommendations. I had answers to my questions within hours of asking and he was very pleasant every time I contacted him. I bought this filter with my own money and am not being compensated in any way for this review. If you are looking for water filtration of any kind look no further than the products that HG Lifestyles offers!

The H&G Lifestyles iron water filter has been a reliable solution for improving our well water. The 5A NSF‑certified food‑grade resin with silver‑enhanced ions really does a great job at reducing iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide. The difference in water quality is noticeable — it tastes cleaner, smells fresher, and appliances are better protected from scale buildup. Having both iron removal and water‑softening functionality in one system is a big advantage. Installation was straightforward thanks to the included nipples and shut‑off valves. Even as a DIY project, it didn’t take long to set up, and the instructions were clear enough to follow. Once installed, the filter handled our household’s water flow without issue. The 7 GPM capacity and wide pressure range make it versatile for different setups, and we haven’t experienced any drop in performance. The regenerable design is another highlight, ensuring long‑term use without needing frequent replacements. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that regeneration requires some effort and monitoring, which may be a bit inconvenient for users who prefer a completely maintenance‑free system. Overall, this is a durable, efficient, and practical water filter that delivers cleaner, safer water for the whole house.

We are on South Texas well water in this house. It’s high in iron, manganese, and smells like sulfur. The house has a full treatment system, but the horse barn is plumbed directly from the well. The horses really don’t like the water. I added a particle filter (for sand), then this “H&G Lifestyles Whole House Water Filter System, Iron and Manganese Water Filter”. It cleaned up all the issues we were having. The buckets no longer stain brown and most importantly, the horses gladly drink the water. The water looks crystal clear and has no odor or coloration. I’m really impressed. I will cladly purchase another when this filter reaches its end of life. It has made my life easier. I highly recommend this filter unit, and I’ve been happy with everything from this manufacturer. Good value.

It says contact them within 10 days to receive a 2 year warranty and I have tried but the sight isn't working and the say they are working on it so I just tried and the sight isn't even there now so I can not even register my new system so I have no warranty at all . Today is my last day to register. I'M VERY DISAPOINTED.

I have high levels of iron in my well and although I have a filtering system for my house it’s not connected to my outside faucets for obvious reasons. It’s never a problem until I try to fill my hot tub. My old hot tub filter would get brown right away and the water was cloudy for a day or two while I changed filters to clean up the well water. I bought a new hot tub and wanted something to filter the well water from the outside faucet. I ran water through the filter for 20-30 minutes and at first it comes out brown but cleared up quickly. I then filled my hot tub and could immediately see a difference. I took a water sample to get it tested and the results were amazing. They asked if the water came from a water softener because it was so low in minerals and well balanced. The water is not only clear but tastes great. I would say you need to run it for a little while or the water tastes a little “bright” or like it came from a softener. Also when the filter sits for a day or two I found I needed to run it for 1-2 minutes the first few times before it ran clear, had a light brown tint to it. The water also has no smell which is another problem my well can have if I don’t filter it. Overall I am very happy with this filter and may actually add it to my home system and make it removable if needed because it works so well. Very happy with the results.
