This is a really nice chicken coop however we had a lot of spots where the wood was cracked in manufacturing. I Think that it should still hold together fine but the cracks are very disappointing to see on a nice new coop

This chicken house is honestly terrible. I have six hens and they are very squished in this size coop. If they aren’t let out quickly in the morning, i feel like they are suffering in the small space. The roosting perches are so close to the floor, and they falloff the grooves, meant to keep them in place, really easily. The hens are usually sitting in the nesting boxes or perched on their food dispenser in the am, bc there aren’t any perching bars left in place. Cleaning isn’t easy at all, the wood is flimsy to say the least, and it is absolutely NOT predator proof- you need to secure it far better than as it comes. For the cost, very, very disappointing. I regret this purchase, and now that it’s assembled, it feels impossible to return. Regret. ... show more

Great coop! I have backyard chickens and was looking for an appropriate hen house to keep the flock safe from weather. I have a fairly good sized run already but the chickens refused to use the shelters I have in place. Plenty big enough to hold my six, I’m not sure it would comfortably hold 8 but there are 6 brooder spaces with convenient lift up roof to collect eggs, screen covered windows for ventilation and a pull out tray for easy cleaning. Since I already have an enclosed run, I didn’t get the additional cage portion you can order with it. ... show more

Very thin wood, read reviews and decided on this one. Really wanted it to be good quality, lots of cracked pieces.
