I have been getting so frustrated with the variety of expandable hoses available and throwing them away after a short period of using from bubble burst to leaking at connection. I was hoping this one would do the trick, but nope! So many companies are including extra goodies to promote the item like a hanger and nozzle. When I first received this hose, I was happy with how light it was then I felt how sticky the hose is. The nozzle is the typical one you get from China with hoses. The hanging strap is ok. The hose expands with water but does not stay long while using the water, so your 100 ft. is no longer. The hose came with instructions that are mostly crazy to me. I am including a picture of the instructions and highly suggest you read it BEFORE buying it to make up your own mind if this hose is for you. This is just a few things I read after getting the hose and would not have gotten it if I had read the instructions first. We live in Nevada, and it gets hot even in the shade so no matter where I store this hose in the summer or winter it isn't going to work. Our shed gets very hot in summer and very cold in winter. How many of us drag our hose across the pavement when washing autos or any outside things. I do. How many of us drain the hose after each use. I don't. I do let the water pressure out, but that's it. How many of us will clean our hose with soap and water. Never #15 is a doozie - Keep the hose away from children and avoid pulling it hard to prevent injury! I send my grandchildren outside to play with the hose all the time. Their listing has a picture of a kiddo playing with the hose if you scroll down to the Anti Kink part! This is just a few of the 17 things listed in the instructions. Its great this hose works for others, it's just not for me! I Can't Recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. Got this hose to extend another hose for my backyard/patio area. The good: it's very light, the connection fittings are solid, they fit my other hose and the sprayer without any leaks, it doesn't seem to "kink", and the sprayer works great. The bad: it becomes a mess after you start using it and it's tricky to put away after use. See how nice and neat the hose looks before it was used (first two pics). Well, when you're using it, that hose looks like a huge garden snake--see the video. Although it twists, versus kinking (which is good), so it didn't cut off the water, it becomes a tangled mess. After using it, I wanted to roll it back up nicely like it was before I used it. But the best I could do was the bird's nest mess you see in the last picture before the video. I rolled it using my hand and forearm like you might do with an extension cord but it didn't cooperate very well. The material is light so I'm not sure how it will wear in the hot Florida sun. If you don't mind it being a mess or if you want to leave it extended and lying straight in your yard, it works just fine.

I appreciate that this garden hose is lightweight and it comes with a 10-function hose nozzle, which offers a variety of spray patterns to choose from. However, the thermoplastic material makes it a bit sticky and it can be difficult to coil up for storage.

I've used a variety of expandable hoses over the years and this one is a bit different than the others. It has a very grippy rubber feel to it. That same feel makes it harder to pull across a lawn as it tends to grab. When water pressure is applied, it grows to its full length. However when you open the nozzle it immediately want to shrink back down almost pulling it out of your hands. That's where the sticky rubber comes in handy as it's easy to grip. The included strap is good for coiling it back up and storing it. The multi-function has more spray patterns than most, including a mist that's very gentle for plants. The jet setting easily sprays 40-50 ft. I prefer to buy brightly colored outdoor tools so they are easier to find when I put them down. The yellow color on this fits that need perfectly. All in all a good hose but it has its quirks.

As others have mentioned, this hose expands quite a bit when you turn on the water, but shrinks down when you open up the spray nozzle. If you've attached a sprinkler head (oscillating, bullfrog or impact – doesn't matter), you're not going to get the full 100 feet length use. The pressure release won't allow the hose to remain fully extended. The hose also has a definite "curl" to it and it runs the full length of the hose. When you're trying to roll it up for storage, you have to make certain that you twist the full length of the hose with each handful, or the "grippy" surface will cause it to tangle around itself.

Listen, hoses are expensive, I get it. The problem is when you're paying high dollar for a hose, you want greatness and I feel like this one has its issues. It's not bad. It just isn't great for the money. For instance, when you have a sprayer attached to it and turn it on, the release of pressure causes the hose to contract in size pretty significantly. Now admittedly, that could just be low water pressure, so I wont hold that one against it too much. My biggest complaint is the tacky rubber. I wish it was covered more in a nylon sheath or something to keep it from getting it stuck and getting tangled over itself. As far as the durability, it is definitely well made.

We prefer expandable hoses. They're easier to deal with when we're finished washing the car, watering the garden, etc. This one is okay quality, in my opinion. It feels a bit cheaply made and after reading the instructions that came with the hose, I'm not convinced it will last long. As far as right now, the connections are good and I haven't seen any leaks. So, for now, it's good, and if it lasts longer than I think I'll come back and update.
