If you want to make your own pinion / spur gears, make your own splined shafts, or ANYTHING of that nature, this right here is the tool you need to do those wonderful things. No more trying to guess your way into making a gear with a sharpie marker and your Dremel tool. You're doing it here with some degree of actual precision. Perhaps not "Ellis" precision, but for the money, call it "close enough". From 2-380, this covers all your "circular divisions". They show the run-out of the outer spindle case, but it'd be nice to see them show the run-out of a piece held in the chuck. Hint hint. It even comes with a decent tailstock - certainly nothing like what you'd see on a high end mill, but, once again, for the price, it's pretty darn good.
