A third update: So I was sent an obviously used steam cleaner as a replacement for the one I sent back. I spoke to customer services as I paid for a new one, and expected a new one as a replacement when it didn’t work. I decided to send the replacement back for a refund (even though it appeared to work OK). I’m going to wait for a few months to see how many other customers have issues with the pump going out causing it to overheat before I make a decision on getting a second unit. I would LOVE to be able to give this item a better review, because it looks great and you get continuous steam, but at the moment it doesn’t seem to be as reliable or long lasting as the Dupray Neat. UPDATE: Reduced stars to 2 from 5: The second steam cleaner I ordered only worked for about 10 minutes before it refused to put out any steam and heated up to 390F, which is overheating. Returned to Amazon for a replacement and we’ll see how that one does. The first one I ordered is still doing OK. I am incredibly disappointed as I was going to buy my daughters and my Mum these for Christmas, and I was proudly showing the second one off when it failed after just a few minutes. As I said in my original review, I am very experienced with using steam cleaners. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve been using steam cleaners for well over 30 years, starting with a Polti Vaporetto back in the UK, and since moving to the USA I have had 3 very high end $1000+ commercial type vapor steam cleaners, plus a Dupray Neat, which had been my go-to lightweight steam cleaner for my upstairs bathrooms. My current high-end cleaner, a Vaporclean Pro 6 Duo is wonderful for large jobs with it’s continuous fill function, but can be a bit bulky and heavy to lift and takes around 10-12 minutes to heat up, so I only get it out for big cleaning jobs. My Dupray Neat is smaller and lighter, but again takes around 10 minutes to heat up ready for use, and is not continuous fill, so you have to let it cool down some before being able to undo the cap and refill it whenever you run out of water. This Grobell steam cleaner is not only smaller and lighter that the Dupray Neat, but is continuous fill, which means that you can open the cap at any time, even while the machine is running, and add more water to the cold tank, which is then pumped down to another boiler tank where the water is heated and becomes pressurized steam. The Grobell steam cleaner heats in a very, very short time, less than 1 minute, which makes it very handy for smaller cleaning jobs, such as quickly cleaning a toilet, spill, or stovetop without having to wait for ages for it to heat up. The other BIG advantage of this steam cleaner is that it has both ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ steam functions. Now, most high end steamers only produce ‘dry’ steam, which is great for certain tasks, such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, floor and window cleaning etc., but sometimes you just need to blast off certain types of grime with wetter steam - dirty crevices, soap scum and grease for instance respond much better to being blasted with very hot steamy water, which this machine can do. To actually have this choice of dryer or wetter steam is absolutely brilliant! When I received the steamer today, I immediately put it to work blasting wet steam around my bathroom faucets, drains and sinks and shower spray head, my toilet and even some ornamental statues that I have around my bath. I also used the wet steam to blast down my cabinet doors and baseboards, allowing the excess water to run straight onto the floor, and then wiping off excess water with a microfibre towel. I then used the dry steam function, along with the triangle head and microfibre bonnet to clean the shower walls and door, switched to the glass squeegee for the mirrors, again using a dry microfibre cloth to polish off any excess water afterwards, then attached the mop unit to steam and sanitize the bath mats and clean the floor. The unit worked impeccably and was so easy to set up and use the attachments. I strongly suspect that this unit is made by the same manufacturer that makes the Dupray Neat as the attachments are interchangeable and almost exactly the same in quality and style. After using it, I was so impressed that I ordered a second unit to keep downstairs - this time without the mop attachement as I have another separate steam mop for downstairs. Now - if I was going to knock a star off it would be that I went to the website just to find out a bit more about the manufacturer and see how to get customer service if it was needed, and the entire site is in chinese without any kind of translation for english speakers, so it would be very difficult to get customer service if you cannot understand chinese. This could be a good reason to add on the Amazon 2 or 3 year guarantee to your order, so you are covered. Secondly, I’ve only used the unit once and therefore cannot comment on the longevity of the unit, but it appears to be very well built. ... show more

(Leaving review at 5 stars because it worked incredibly for 3 months and changed my life but please note that the overheating issue is addressed at the bottom of this review.) I LOVE this little machine so much! It is highly mobile, easily changes attachments, has some very high pressure steam and has overall just changed my life. My house wasn't very clean until I bought this thing, you see I have multiple disabilities and cleaning is something I can only do for a limited amount of time, especially deep cleaning or scrubbing. This thing has totally eliminated scrubbing, and the extension arm and tools allow me to sit down and clean when I need a break. My house is truly clean for the first time in years, I feel capable again....I can't describe how much I love this odd little box! I've used it literally every single day since I bought it back in September. My only issue is the heater seems to be malfunctioning.....it keeps overheating even when I'm actively using the spray at full blast, and when on hold. I really hope they can fix this issue soon because this is honestly the best light steamer on the market in my opinion. I am considering buying a dupray steamer as a backup since I cannot go back to life without one now, but I will be waiting to hear when the heater issue is resolved to get another one of these if the replacement unit for my current one doesn't work well. I used the steam cleaner for the first time. Blue mop cloth and wet for kitchen tile floors, white micro cloth towel and on dry setting for wooden floors. Overall it did a pretty good job. Here is what would have made it to 5 stars: 1. The instructions are lacking. Why would one use one cloth over the other? What are the various uses for the attachments? Why set for wet vs dry? 2. The mesh storage bag does not adequately hold everything - it is too small. 3. Unless you have every light turned on in the room you are cleaning, it it difficult to see the floor as you are cleaning. A light mounted on the floor attachment would have helped. 4. A better design for cord storage would be better. Putting this thing away is a bit unyielding. Call an appliance industrial designer for version 2.0 ... show more

I can not believe how well Thai little guy works! As far as durability, I can’t say yet but for now it’s a 5 star wonder! Tiles are cleaner, wood floors squeak when we walk on yh Now and I tried it on our doors- it got every scuff mark, dirt off with ease and even the walls by switch plate look freshly painted now. I love this steamer. I was able to do a very large sectional sofa on just two refills. It heats up super quick so having to refill it isn't that inconvenient. I used this to steam practically everything in my house because of a bed bug problem. This steamer was a huge help! This thing is awesome! It took me a while to do my whole floor but it is finally cleaned ! Deep cleaned! My grayish beige-ish wooden laminate floors were looking so dirty no matter how many times i mopped, i tried everything even boiling water but nothing then i figured id try this and wow.. my floori is back to looking clean! It was so satisfying to see all the dirt being removed! It was worth evey penny! If i had to change ine thing it would be that the brush was bigger just to save some time for larger projects like mine! ... show more

This thing is awesome. I bought it for a move out style clean and it cut down big cleaning jobs by HOURS. The unit I purchased seems to leak a bit of water from the end of the nozzle/attachments but I just follow right behind with a rag. So far I’ve used it for ovens, stove stops, microwaves, refrigerators, windows and windowsills, floors, walls, and sliding door tracks. Worth every penny. ... show more
