    • Great, easy to use, cleaning unit
My sister referred this product to me after trying to find something to help keep her place clean and allergen-free for her children that started to develop allergies not only does this help and make things easier for her to clean she has used this product in ways that I never thought I would use them in, for instance, the mop attachment she uses to get to the top of her finished cupboards. My cupboards are not finished so I need to be a bit careful, But I use the steam to spray a light mist or steam a light mist of hot water on the cupboard and then use the microfiber pad to just gently wipe it away as opposed to applying the unit close to the unsealed and I'm finished painted cupboards that I have. I did not buy this for my cupboards though I purchased this to clean the tile on my kitchen counters and I am absolutely amazed at the job that this did my kitchen looks brand new not only does it look new it smells good and part of having an old house is trying to get rid of all smells and as I have worked meticulously through my house on a daily basis the Basic smell of the home as you come in is not as musty which is really great because normally when I have clean my carpets with vinegar and windows with vinegar it smells clean after two or three days but you have to smell vinegar for two or three days and with the steam cleaner I've used it on the windows I've used in the tub on the kitchen counters on the kitchen floor and even started using it To spot treat my carpet and then begin working on small sections of my carpet at a time and places where there has been dogs smell from accidents I put my nose right next to the carpet to smell it after two or three days and the smell is all but diminished now these are not saturated pet stains but my little dog had an accident I got majority Of the year and up right away but no matter what cleaners are used it's still had a faint odor if I would put my nose next to it and smell the spot but this unit has helped clean those areas to where there's hardly any smell at all. I can only use it for about an hour or so at a time if I am doing things that are chest height or shoulder height as my arm does get tired after a while from holding the unit but I like the weight of it so that I don't press too hard or scrub too hard on things that are not finished So it is a nice reminder in my old house to be gentle. However, it would be nice to be able to use it for more than just an hour at a time based on my limitations. This unit heats up extremely fast and is one of the key points that I like about it you open the top of the water and away you go and no matter what angle you have the unit even upside down this unit will still extract water needs to create the steam it is an excellent unit and I recommend it to everyone ... show more

4 star and not 5, here's the good points. First, packaged in such a way that I didn't have to use a nuclear powder device get the thing unpacked. All parts were sturdy and easy to assemble. long extension cord. Good powerful hot steam in two different strengths Handy case and bag to keep from losing attachments and wall mount kit also. and the steamer can stand upright on it's own fairly well. Only negative point is the inconsistency in steam production. The device makes a knocking sound like something is wrong and the steam at times slows down temporarily. Never-the-less I was able to clean the grout and floor fairly well. Only other disapointment was the lack of a replacement for the grout brush. Very well made and sturdy brush, but with heavy use, its bristles were wearing down. I wanted to order a replacement but couldn't find one for the 2075A model. Replacement were available for other models. If other models are as good as this one, I wish I had ordered a different model. All said, I'm not too disappointed with this product and felt it was well priced. ... show more

This thing is awesome. Very easy to assemble. Heats quickly and simple to use. It’s amazing how much cleaner it gets my floors. I have limited use of one arm and I have no problems using it. When you’re done you can toss the pads in the washer.

    • Good but could be better.
Pros: Easy to assemble, works as advertised, cleans my floor tile without spreading all the dirt into the tile grout. Cons: I’m 5’5” tall and the height of the mop is too short for me and causes back pain while using. The trigger switch is too small, and requires much pressure to keep the steam feeding into the mop head. My husband puts an electrical tie over the switch to hold the switch in the down position so I can use the mop without having to change my grip constantly. When I am finished steaming, we cut the electrical tie off and store the mop for the next use. There should be a lock/unlock mechanism on the switch and there should be an extender available to make the mop longer. Would be a better product if the two design issues I noted above are corrected. ... show more

    • Worth the money? Depends on how you want to use it.
I've been wanting a steam cleaner for weeks now, and after I finally settled on this model (following loads of scouring the web), I was so excited when it arrived earlier this week! I mainly wanted it to make life easier when cleaning the shower/bathtub, so that's the first thing I tried it on. Set-up was a breeze; I found the unit very easy to fill, and it is also very easy to switch out the attachments (but maybe too easy, as I accidentally twisted one of them off during use in trying to get the right angle). As I began work on the shower, I did appreciate how easily it loosened up the grime but quickly saw the drawbacks to this product as well. #1, the pad gets too wet too quickly, especially when you're using the higher steam setting. #2, the unit shows its weight when you're cleaning vertical surfaces. #3, the attachments can't pivot, and in combination with the size of the unit, I wasn't able to get all the way to the bottom of my shower door before it hit the floor. I would have had to turn the unit upside down, which I'm assuming isn't a great idea. #4, the level of steam was fairly inconsistent. All in all, I would say mission accomplished in that I didn't have to put in as much elbow grease to get my shower clean, but the process actually seemed to take longer because the brush attachments are so small. Where the unit did well was in the cracks and crevasses, for which I used the grout attachment. It was able to get rid of dirt that I'd never be able to touch by hand. I have yet to tackle a floor surface, but thus far, I'd say jury's still out on whether it's worth the $130 investment. Final verdict: The first run this Bissell had here was also its last. The drawbacks I outlined initially were too much for me to look past, especially the steam being inconsistent. I returned the item for a refund. ... show more
