  • Definitely worth getting
Color: Camo
It’s rated for 47°F but I used it with a 30° bag at 28°F and it kept me warm all night with no issues. I had one in the past and I accidentally sat on it instead of the hammock but it’s was an easy fix with some paracord. It packs down super small and it’s really light weight and great for backpacking, can’t really beat it for the price. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have an underquilt already. ... show more

  • After 1 year of use...
Color: Coyote Brown
I bought this underquilt in February 2022, and after a year this thing has seen plenty of use and many miles. I typically camp twice a month or more, about 50% of the time I'm backpacking. I've slept down to 15°F with this underquilt (when it's that cold I also use my 55°F sleeping bag and a light comforter as a top quilt) and it has kept my backside warm every time, however I'm not a cold (or hot) sleeper. No concerning amount of wear. I recommend this 100% especially for the money, the only drawback I've found is that it's a little heavy, which only matters if you're backpacking. If you want light weight insulation spend the extra money for down. Great product, onetigris makes good stuff at a reasonable price. 5 stars. ... show more

  • Effective and Packable, But Not Waterproof
Color: Camo
I recently tried the Hammock Underquilt, and while it had some drawbacks, it proved to be a valuable addition to my cold-weather camping gear. One of the standout features of this underquilt is its impressive packability. It folds down into a compact size, making it easy to carry and store. Setting it up under my hammock was a breeze, and it provided substantial insulation without adding significant bulk or weight to my backpack. However, it's important to note that this underquilt is not waterproof. During use, I experienced some moisture absorption in damp conditions. While this may not be a dealbreaker for some users, those expecting water resistance should be cautious. On the positive side, the underquilt demonstrated remarkable warmth. I tested it in 30°F weather with a Teton Trailhead sleeping bag (survival rated for 20°F) and an additional Oaskys sleeping bag. Wearing a puffy jacket and using handwarmers, I felt comfortably warm throughout the night. The underquilt effectively trapped heat, contributing to a cozy and insulated sleeping environment. While the Hammock Underquilt proved effective in keeping me warm during chilly nights, it's worth noting a couple of limitations. The underquilt is designed for a single hammock, and its dimensions may not be as accommodating for those who prefer to sleep diagonally. I found that attempting to sleep diagonally caused some tightness around the head and calf areas. This could be a consideration for individuals who value the freedom of movement and prefer a more level sleeping arrangement. However, for users who are comfortable with a snugger fit or have a narrower hammock, the underquilt's insulation capabilities might outweigh this constraint. Despite the lack of waterproofing, if you're mindful of weather conditions and prioritize warmth, this underquilt can be a valuable asset. Its compact design makes it suitable for backpacking trips where space is at a premium. Just be sure to pair it with additional weather protection if rain is in the forecast. Overall, I found it to be a practical choice for cold-weather hammock camping. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Color: Coyote Brown
This thing is well built and I've used it many times on bike packing trips with no problems. It's a bit on the heavy side but it does pack down pretty small especially with the compression sack that is included. I've slept in 45 degree weather with it and it kept me nice and warm. The straps are very adjustable and you can add or take away carabineers for a perfect fit to your setup. I also modified mine and cut off the big, black and white logo on the side so it's less conspicuous in the woods. I got the coyote brown color which is a nice, neutral color and blends in well to the outdoors ... show more

  • Cozy and warm
Color: Coyote Brown
Kept us warm in 34 degrees. Fits my 11 ft double hammock fine. Very easy to put on. I would feel comfortable using this in 30degree weather. I did use my 15 degree sleeping bag. The coldest it has gotten here so far is 30ish and it was warm. I have used it 10-15 times and it had held up well. I would really like to try the hot hammock tent this brand offers. Maybe I’ll get a chance to this winter. ... show more

  • Worked well for a big guy
Color: Coyote Brown
I'm 6'3" and 250+ lbs. Several reviews suggest that the suspension is weak or the cords too short. I replaced them with 1/8 inch shock cord and eliminated any problems. This is an underquilt, not a hammock. It isn't intended to hold a person's weight. It's purpose is to fit beneath the hammock to hold in heat. The OneTigris underquilt is big enough to cover my under regions while lying in a 12 foot hammock on a diagonal lay. Temps got down to about 57 degrees one evening on a hang and I was comfortable with only a cotton bed sheet on top of me. I did this intentionally to see how well the UQ would work. After about 2 hrs we had to leave; something more substantial would have been required on top of me to stay comfortable all night but the UQ did it's job for the time we were there. One part of my foot was not protected by the UQ, most likely a sleeping bag or overquilt would have taken care of that in a real overnight situation. With that being said, this item could benefit from being a few inches wider on the sides, particularly at the ends. But we hammockers tend to make/modify gear anyhow so adding a side piece or even an extra layer of insulation inside the UQ to lower the temperature rating is doable and probably more effective than a 'one size fits all' solution from the manufacturer. Overall, this item is effective and a good value. ... show more

  • Perfect fit
Color: Camo
I bought this for my hammock tent to add a layer of warmth with the winter weather. I can feel the difference in warmth from the bare bottom of the tent. It almost feels like you wouldn’t even need a four seasons sleeping bag. I can’t wait to see how it does in extreme cold temperatures. It is a bit bulky to carry in my pack but it’s definitely worth the bulk and weight it adds having it. I would suggest this to anyone who does hammock text camping who wants the added warmth without having to carry a bulky extra blanket in their pack. ... show more
