I started using these regularly because I had the hardest water in the world. These kept my machine from literally breaking because of the hard water residue buildup. So they do work and they are the cheapest product on Amazon. What I noticed is that they take forever to dissolve, so I would dissolve them before putting them in the reservoir. I don't know if that's the wrong way to use them, but it is the way I have found to be easiest for me, I use hot water to dissolve them even more quickly. The price v performance ratio keeps me as a return customer because I clean my machine every couple of weeks ... show more

This is definitely easy to use and I feel good about the thought of a clean coffee maker but I thought there would be a significant difference in the way my coffee would taste afterwards -- there was none. Not sure if the reason is that my coffee maker wasn't that dirty to begin with or if this doesn't do much. I will keep using this periodically because it makes me feel good knowing that my coffee maker is clean, but to be honest I haven't noticed any difference before/after. ... show more
