  • Loving this coat!
Size: Large Color: Black
I'm always cold and I absolutely hate being cold. I usually dread doing anything that takes me outside when the temps are below 65 and I avoid visiting my family in the midwest during the winter months, but this coat has me a little less sad that winter is coming. This review may be a bit premature ... I'll try to remember to come back and update in the spring ... but I wore my jacket tonight using the heating function for the first time and I'm loving this thing so much I decided to post a review now. First of all, it's a nice looking coat and appears to be well made. No loose strings, pretty sturdy seaming/construction, my zippers don't stick, although I noted another reviewer didn't love their zipper. Unlike other reviews, I didn't think it was particularly slim fitting. I'm 5'6 and between a size 4 and 6. A large fits easily over a sweatshirt without making you feel like a marshmallow. I would agree that the sleeves and torso length might be a tiny bit short, probably not visibly short, but I like longer sleeves so I can hide my hands inside the ends for warmth and these sleeves aren't long enough for that. The battery fits into the inside left front pocket and it's not terribly heavy. I didn't feel like it was bulky - it just felt like I had a cell phone in that pocket. As far as the heating function ... I charged the battery overnight about 2 weeks ago right after my coat arrived in the mail, but the weather hadn't really been cold enough to justify using it until tonight. The battery has been sitting unused and not connected to the charger for 2 weeks and it was still holding a full charge (another reviewer mentioned this, but the charger has a red/green LED to indicate when it's done charging - green is good to go). The battery has 5 small blue LED indicators to tell you the charge. I forgot to review the instructions before leaving the house and it took me 2 minutes to figure out that you have to turn the coat on by holding down the little button in the left collar/lapel area. And yes, it's a little odd to have an LED indicator on the collar shining the whole time the heating function is on (I was sitting in a freezing cold movie theater and felt a smidge conspicuous with the light glowing), but whatever. I flipped the collar down and that blocked most of the light. The LED indicator is red when it's in "preheat/warm up" mode or on high. As another reviewer detailed it will automatically cycle down to medium (white) after about 5 minutes in warm up mode. Medium is still noticeably warm. Low setting = blue. It was pretty subtle heat on the low setting, but the coat holds warmth pretty well, so I think it's probably a good setting since this coat is thin enough that you could layer over it for a long day outside in the cold. Super easy to change from one heat setting to another. You hit the button once to go to the next setting down and hold the button down for a few seconds to turn the heating function off/on. I didn't wear it long enough to test the battery life in any setting, but I switched it back and forth from high to medium to low to off at various points in time over about 3.5 hours and the battery indicator lights still had 4 out of 5 blue LEDs lit after that. Not sure if I'd count on that being accurate, but if it is, that's pretty solid for a heated coat that cost less than $150. Yes, it would be nice if all heated gear would run heating elements through every single part of the coat, but I haven't found any coat (affordable or otherwise) that has elements running front and back full length and front and back down the sleeves, too. I think this coat is a great deal for what it does. Besides, even with heated sleeves you're going to need heated gloves if you want your fingers to be warm ... I already purchased a pair of Flambeau heated gloves from Amazon so I'll be ready to face the cold! ... show more

  • Love it! Pros and cons...
Size: Small Color: Black
PROS: I love this jacket! It fits very well and amazes me how quickly it heats up. I tend to be cold when others aren’t, so not only do I use it outside, but it’s become my secret weapon in cold conference rooms, at the movie theater, the grocery store, and other places where it’s too cold for me. Putting it on low in those situations has kept me toasty! Love the hood too and that the coat is water & wind resistant. It is light and works well in cool temps without always needing to turn on the heater. It is fitted, looks good, and is thin enough to layer a longer coat over when needed. High winds tend to wick heat off the jacket, so when it’s super windy, I put a down coat over it to trap in the heat and that really helps. Since it’s a jacket and not a full coat, I also wear a long down coat over it for more coverage when it’s particularly bitter cold out. This coat is really helping me get through winter! CONS: The one big thing I don’t like about the coat is the battery is in the inside bottom of the jacket, and once I turn the jacket off, I cannot use the button on the outside of the jacket to turn it on again. Instead I have to unzip all the way and reach in to disconnect and reconnect the battery (sometimes several times) before the jacket will turn on again. Out in wind and snow I’ve had to unzip my jacket to do this. UPDATED REVIEW: The company reached out to me about the battery issue. They’ve redesigned the batteries so the on/off button on the outside of the jacket will turn it on again, and they sent me a replacement battery. The new battery works perfectly! So my one criticism has been addressed, and not only that, the customer service was amazing. If I could rate it six stars, I would! Both for the product, and the customer service. This coat works so well, fits great, and looks good! I love this coat and highly recommend it!!!!! ... show more

  • Such a great gift. A++ Jacket.
Size: Small Color: Black
This was one of the best gifts I have gotten for my girl. She is 5'4 115LB, and we grabbed the small. It fit her perfectly, she is even able to put a jacket over and under it. The material is very strong, she even cought a nail and when she checked there was no mark(big relief on her part). The jacket fits her really well, she says loves the wrist they are insulted and even when she streches out her arms, there is no cold coming in. I thought the battery would be an issue, but she said she doesnt even notice it. The battery overall is a very strong battery, doesnt take extremly long to charge. But when it would die, she would sit by the battery and check it every few minutes lol.. Just waiting for that thing to be charged. I went and bought a second battery just because how excited she was over all for this jacket. If I had one complaint it would be the light. It's very cool and she is not bothered by it, but I wish you could turn that light off so others don't see it. Every one ALWAYS want to touch the jacket to see what it feels like, and most are baffled about a light being on there lol.. But yeah, that is my only issue with this jacket, should have a way to turn off the light, maybe even a party mode (Joke?). She is normally always cold, and in around 3-4 jackets even in 30F weather. She can use this thing on Low and still be warm enough in 30F. Most of the time she is using the Medium heat, but you can feel each of them. Also I had an issue with the jacket when it 1st came out. E-mailed the company and I was over whelmed by their awesome support. They went over and beyond and so far my issue seems to be resolved, but they where very quick to help. I will purchase one for my self as well, much respect for your help. ... show more

  • Good jacket
Size: Large Color: Black
The jacket alone without using the heat feature is pretty warm. But the heat feature is great. The battery pack is a little heavy but with any battery pack of that size it's going to b a little heavy. They have a updated lighter battery pack witch I think I'm going to purchase. But I was presently surprised at how long this battery lasted! I had it on high for 4hrs, followed by medium for 5hrs. Then I seen the battery was at the 25% power or less so I had it on low for an hour give or take, then it finally died. So that really impressed me! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's supposed to be waterproof. However when I ran my sleeve under water briefly, some water beaded off, but where the jacket stitches together the water just soaked in. About a half inch on both sides of the stitch and ontop of the stitch it soaked in. Then I grabbed a spray bottle and sprayed water onto the chest area. Again it just soaked in, it didn't bead off like the top of the arm sleeve did. But I still like the jacket so I just grabbed water proofing spray that I've used on my work gear and sprayed it. Maybe I recieved one that didn't get as much water proofing stuff as it should have? But I like the jacket so I just sprayed it down myself. Oh and u would want to get a size that fits u close to being snug. Normally I get jackets that I can layer up underneath(shirt and hoodie and still have a little wiggle room) but u don't want this jacket to b lose. U want the heat pads to b closer to ur body. I Normally wear a lg to xl. The lg in this jacket fits with room to wear layers. Which kinda of makes me think it's cut a little big. Just a little though. I would probably fit better in a meduim. But I still kept the lg. ... show more

  • I Love it!
Size: Large Color: Black
light weight, easy for me to get on, love the heat. Sleeves are a little long and runs a little small. I normally wear a LARGE, 12-14 in women's, but this does not fit with a sweater or sweatshirt underneath., which is fine for my disability since OI have to wear light weight shirts anyways

  • Great jacket
Size: Small Color: Black
Only had this jacket for 2 weeks, and I love it. Fits great, can wear a light- medium sweatshirt underneath and it’s still comfortable. The battery does take a bit to fully charge, but I’ve only needed to charge it twice so far.

  • Warm, Stylish, and Comfortable Heated Jacket
Size: Small Color: Black
I’m really impressed with this Ororo heated jacket! It’s stylish, waterproof, and windproof, keeping me warm even without the heat on. The battery charges quickly, and I love that I can even charge it in my car. The jacket has 3 temperature settings and heats up fast. The fit is great, with enough room for layering underneath, and the side pull cords let me adjust it to stay snug. However, I do have one issue: the front heating element doesn’t seem to be as strong as the back. While the back keeps me toasty, the front doesn’t heat up as much, which is a bit disappointing. Despite that, the jacket is still a great investment for staying warm, and I’ll be wearing it often this winter. Overall, I recommend it! ... show more

  • 135 lbs. Very Different From Down Hooded Vest
Size: Small Color: Black
I have had 2 of these (XS and Small) and a Milwaukee (Med), and I just ordered the ORORO XS down hooded vest. Compared to the Milwaukee medium heated jacket, these are way smaller - the ORORO XS and small fit much better for my size. Beware: the XS ORORO down hooded vest is WAY smaller than this ORORO jacket in an XS. I can’t even zip up the XS ORORO down hooded VEST. At 5’5” 135 pounds (36B bra), the XS jacket fits perfectly. The jacket needs to be a good fit (not roomy) to transfer the heat to your body. The small works okay too, for my build, but the XS does work better for getting the heat to my body. I can fit a fleece cardigan under the XS, but it is not as comfortable as I like, but it is tolerable and I quickly forget any extra snug feeling. With a regular shirt the fit is perfect. Also I hate the ‘binding’ feel through the shoulder area on some clothes that are more fitted/snug. I have zero issues with this - even in an extra small - unless I have a thick shirt/sweatshirt under it. It’s not a deal breaker with the fit of the small (more room); but to get the best results, the XS performs better for heating purposes. If it wasn’t for heating; I’d get the small - it’s just my preference to have things more roomy. ... show more
