  • The little beast that COULD!
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
I owned a gas tiller for years, but got tired of the headaches related to ethanol gas in simple carbs- it just kills them. So, after much debate, I decided to chance this little machine. MAN what a pleasant surprise! It tills through raw lawn (grass still growing) like butter, and even kicks out rocks etc. just like my 5hp gas one did! Granted, it doesn't till as deep, but that's not a problem- I'm only trying to restart a garden about 8x8, along with cleaning up around some other areas here and there where plants/shrubs have been moved. This machine is so light I can just pick it up and carry it where I want. The tires allow it to roll, but it's quicker to just pick it up! Those same tires also seem to limit the depth of cut a little, but you could easily remove them and get a little deeper- but there's really no need. Just like any tiller will, vines and roots will bind around the tines, but a flat head screwdriver and a couple minutes of poking cures that darn quick & easy. I've owned a LOT of tools over the years, and sometimes one really does impress with its simplicity, usefulness, and ability to do the job. This little beast is one of them- enough so I ordered another for my daughter at her house. ... show more

  • Love it!
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
I absolutely love using this cultivator. It is light weight and easy to get started with the push of a button and lift of the lever. I have a bigger garden so I usually get about half way through tilling it before I need to charge the battery. If you are like me I would recommend having two batteries. ... show more

  • Impressive
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
I got this after my attempts to use a garden rake were back killing. And, I have been truly impressed with how well it works. My only issue is the same issue I have with almost anything you get these days. The instructions. The verbiage could use a little clarity. And, I'm sure it was a construction quirk but the top half, which had to be attached to the lower half, I found the top was way to wide. I had to use a clamp to hold it in place to get the bolt attached. So, here is a construction suggestion. Instead of attaching 2 pieces, why doesn't cause 1 section slide into the other? It would make construction and storage adjustments much easier. ... show more

  • Love this tiller
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
I really love this little tiller! I have owned two gasoline 2-cycle engine small tillers which were great, but when they’re not used a lot they are a maintenance issue. This little tiller really churns the soul and chops it to a fine consistency. The grass really wrapped around the tines, but the design allows for simple removal of the tines without tools, making it easy to clean. The only drawback I have found is that if the tines hit anything that resists at all — even clay dirt — the battery pops out and the tiller stops. But I learned on new, harder soil to raise up the times and gradually dive into it. I did buy an extra battery but so far the battery that comes with it has been enough on a single charge. ... show more

  • A dream machine....
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
Convincing my husband we (he) needed this dream machine was the battle! Once received, powered up and roaring thru the garden, he agreed. Do make note- it is a cultivator, not rototiller so ground cannot be rock hard.

  • Let go or it'll take off.
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
After some use, I find the bouncy-disconnect-me battery more than inconvenient. It's a safety issue because when it occurs you are in position to have the tiller running. So unless you remember to let go the lever you'll take off as soon as you pop the battery back in. Hence the 1 star (somewhat aided by the fact that it was being used on raised beds that have been Honda tilled for years). Learn from a mowing machine how to do a proper battery release. ... show more

  • Bad Customer service
Style: 4Ah Battery and Charger Pattern Name: soil tiller cultivator
just received the 40V 10" tiller cultivater. Used it a couple times and it really did dig down into the dirt. It has removeable tines(blades) which are held on by inserting a pin into a whole. The pins have a ring on one end to make removeable easier. In the case of the unit I have the rings broke off. The pin fell out as well on one side and i cant find it and for the other side i found both pieces. I have been trying to contact greenworks via phone spent hours on hold. and via their web site and there is no way to input anything into the web site. I have a lawn mower, blower and string trimmer all from greenworks. Never had any problems so never encountered this before. I whish someone could advise as to how to contact a living being so I can get the replacement parts. ... show more
