  • Fantastic! Fits LG WM3370HWA
When I saw water leaking out from under my LG washing machine, I was riddled with anxiety. Yet another costly repair in an unending series of issues related to home ownership. But instead of immediately calling the repair guy and spending hundreds of dollars on a repair, I googled around, opened up the top of the machine and saw that this is an insanely common issue with these front load LG washers (LG WM3370HWA). I watched about 10 youtube videos on replacing this part and found it here on Amazon for $26. I ordered it, it came early the next morning, I braced myself and started my attempt to repair (sure that I would screw it up). Incredibly, I was able to remove and replace the part and put everything back together in under 30 minutes! I saved a ton of money, accomplished something, and gave myself a nice little boost of confidence! If you can use a screw driver and have enough strength to move the washing machine away from the wall, you too can do this! My machine is running great and the leak is gone! Highly recommend you try this before hiring a repairman or buying a new machine. ... show more

  • OEM Replacement Part Works Perfectly!
My LG WM2455HG front loader was giving an "FE" Error Code whenever I would run a wash cycle of more than 20-30 minutes (aka Speed Wash). I researched the Error Code, and determined it could either be the Inlet Valves or the Water Level Sensor or the Sensor's Air Hose (If that hose is clogged with anything or torn open, it could artificially cause the same "FE" Error Code). After further research it seemed to me that my machine was having an issue with the inlet valves due to high water pressure. My water level sensor's air hose was clean and free of debris, and it wasn't torn or cracked anywhere. So I decided to focus on the Inlet Valves. I ran a long wash cycle with just the cold water, and determined that the "FE" code would still interrupt the wash cycle. So this led me to believe it was the Cold Water Inlet Valve. My original Hot Water Inlet Valve wasn't defective, but I decided to replace it at the same time as the Cold Water Inlet Valve was defective. I noticed the parts were exactly the same with exception to the filter screen located inside the threaded opening. The original part had a mesh steel screen with a rather large mesh opening compared to the new part that came with a plastic filter screen with much smaller holes in it. My water lines have relatively high water pressure (100-105psi) and I don't have a Water Pressure Reducing Valve on my main water line, so I believe this is what led to the premature demise of the Cold Water Inlet Valve. The smaller filter screen holes on the new inlet valves should also help reduce the incoming water pressure to a safer limit if you have high water pressure. Hopefully this small design change will increase the lifespan of the water inlet valves! ... show more

  • Perfect replacement part
Installs easily, tighter than the original, which would twist slightly while tightening on the water line. You probably already know how to access this to change it, but if not: 1. Unplug washer, turn off water supply and remove water hose from the cold inlet. 2. Remove the 2 screws located in the main washer body on the back-top of the machine that fasten the top to the main washer body. 3. slide the top back, then lift up and off. 4. Unplug the 3 electrical connectors from the old part 5. Using pliers, squeeze the hose clamp on one of the interior hoses and slide it back 6. Using pliers, lightly grip the hose where it is connected to the old part and give it a little twist 7. Pull the hose off of the old part (use your hand here. Pliers could damage the hose and cause further leaking) 8. On the new part, connect the hose to the same place it was removed from the old. 9. Repeat 5-8 for the remaining hoses. 10.From the back of the machine, remove the 2 screws on either side of the cold water inlet. 11. pull out the old part 12. put in the new part 13. From the back of the machine, replace the 2 screws on either side of the cold water inlet. 14. reconnect the 3 electrical connections. 15. reconnect the cold water inlet hose and turn the water supply back on 16. check for leaks 17. Plug the washer back in 18. Start a wash cycle and check for leaks. Once you are satisfied, stop the cycle. 19. Do the reverse of step 3 20. Do the reverse of step 2 ... show more

  • Probably not OEM, but works just as well so far Probably not OEM, but works just as well so far
While the box is labeled “OEM”, I am fairly certain this is not an OEM part. It is different than the picture (which matches the original) and appears to be the same as several less expensive sellers. That said, it fit perfectly in place of the OEM part and seems to be working well. The threading was correct and the electrical contacts were the correct fit. Happy to get my washer up and running again quickly, and relatively cheaply. ... show more

  • Easy install, solve leaking LG washer
Water was puddling under the washer. LG model WM2701HV about 7 yrs old. Took top of washer off (undue the lower screw on the two brackets on each side in back of washer, and slide the top back about an inch, then lift off). Noticed the original valve was all corroded and leaking. Ordered this off Amazon, and in 2 days was back in business. Turn off water at the wall and unscrew the exterior washer hose. Unplug the three harnesses. Use pliers to squeeze each of the three hose clamps and slide them up hoses an inch or two. Twist off the three hoses, and ensure to put them on the same port on the new valve (remove from old, and replace on the new one at a time, or at least mark them before removal, so you don't put wrong hose on wrong port). Unscrew the two screws holding the old valve in place on the back of the washer, and remove old one. Install new one. replace hose clamps and three harnesses. Check for leaks. Took me longer to type this than to replace the valve. Although my hot water one was good still, I replaced it too. ... show more
