I love Greenpan skillets, I now have two. I have the 8” skillet and was so pleased with it I ordered the 10”. The non-stick coating is one of the best I have used. No nasty teflon here. While I presume, over time, the surface is capable of scratching if you use metal utensils, we are very careful to always use coated spatulas or spoons and hand wash. The fact that these skillets contain no harmful chemicals is a huge selling feature and for the price, I find them to be just as durable and well made as skillets 2-3 times the price. I also like the way the skillet is made. The sides are neither too slanted nor too vertical. It makes flipping an egg or a sandwich easy without having to navigate high, straight, sides. The pan is well balanced in the hand and easy to lift, unlike cast iron or enameled cookware. Note: DO NOT USE CANNED SPRAY OIL. Read the included brochure. I needed to replace my aging skillet due to concerns over the chemical coating. I wanted something free of those potentially unsafe chemical coatings but still non-stick. The GreenPan fits the bill. I did an egg test -- will an egg smoothly glide across the pan or will it stick? The egg slid around, and I could flip it easily to cook an over-medium egg. So far, I've cooked eggs, bacon, meats, etc. and all have come out with minimal cleanup leaving no residue. The pan looks and acts practically brand new after each cooking, using only some water to clean. We'll see how this works in the long term, but I'm thinking of replacing all my pans with the GreenPan brand. ... show more

I bought GreenPan Valencia Pro Hard Anodized Healthy Ceramic Nonstick 10" Frying Pan Skillet, PFAS-Free, Induction, Dishwasher Safe, Oven Safe, Gray to replace a 10” non-stick that wore out much to early and based on recommendation of a major product-testing lab. Pros: • It works on induction cook tops, one of the primary reasons I chose this brand and model. • It’s claimed “stay flat base” stays flat on the outside. • Eggs can be fried in it. Cons: • Slow heat up compared to other fry pans I own. • Claims to last 10X longer but does not state longer than what. • Food sticks to the pan. • Non-standard size – a standard 10” lid is too small for this pan so you have to buy their lid. Things not revealed until after the pan is purchased and delivered: • Oil must be used when cooking with this pan, which defeats the purpose of non-stick coatings. • Limits how the pan can be washed to only a cloth or melamine sponge, which is abrasive, again defeating the purpose of non-stick coatings. • Claims the pan is dishwasher safe, yet dishwashing detergents are abrasive so they want customers to hand-wash the pan. • Terms & conditions take up over half a page and addresses only the limit of arbitration the customer is locked in to just for buying the product. Customers are limited to arbitration only and cannot sue or join a class action lawsuit. • Limited warranty does not specify what defects/issues are covered, meaning they can refuse any/all warranty claims. Bottom line, the fry pan cooks food but sometimes food sticks to the surface. Warranty is vague and one-sided in favor of the seller/manufacturer. The first pan I’ve owned where I don’t need ANY oil! Cleans easily even when not using oil. While it says it’s dishwasher safe, I hand wash. Takes no time at all.

    • Good pan but has two issues for me.

Pan is nice weight, durable finish, as advertised in Cooks Illustrated recently. Two problems 1) it has a "dome" in the middle of the cooking surface that makes eggs, for example, slide to the sides of the pan. 2) The heat distribution doesn't cover the outside edge of the cooking surface, so, the eggs don't cook evenly. Same problem with omelettes, where the middle cooks faster than the edges, making it messy to "roll" in a french style, and still keep the fillings in the center. Screws up the results. Tried different heat setting and pan warmup time, but nope, same deal. ... show more
