The pans from this manufacturer are awesome! My wife and child love cooking with them, because they are so light, compared to what we had. They also love all the color options! The best part for me is the cleaning. It's so quick and easy to clean. I wish I would have found out about these back in 2000, if they were available. I basically replaced all of our used and deteriorating pans, even the ones with a non-stick and most likely toxic coating. The handle is a good length and coated with a rubbery non-slick texture. It's great to keep the handles cool. The support handle also has the same coating. The lid also stays cool to the touch. The lid does not have a vent and is a normal glass lid. They get hard to clean, right around where the metal and glass touch due to evaporation and splatter. The liquid seeps into that connection point. Unless the entire lid is one complete piece, it just physics. The four-star rating is because I have a gas stove and the burners are wide for the main burner where this pan is usually used on. Even at medium or low heat, the rubbery handle coating get burned and might potentially melt, exposing the metal underneath. I'm very meticulous when I'm cooking and also explain technique and how to care for these pans, to my wife and child. Even with those precautions, the coating is bubbling and charred. The covering hasn't melted, yet. I hope they don't. I have smaller pans from Greenpan, but none this size. It would be a shame if the coating started to melt off. ... show more

This pan is great. It's hard to find a pan that doesn't have all the bad chemicals like PFAS at an affordable price and this one gave that option. It has Thermolon coating that supposed to be delivered from sand. Not sure how safe that coating actually is but I hope it is! I still think it's better then per-and polyfluoroalkyl coating and for me at least real ceramic pans are something I cannot afford. Stainless steel can also contain some harmful chemicals like cadmium and nickle although I do rotate those with my green pan. It holds a ton of food and the nonstick coating is really great I have to say! Everything slides right off. We have had it awhile now and is holding up very well. ... show more

I had previously purchased some other brand of pots and pans that look similar to this one on Amazon. They were not good. After getting this one and using it, I realize even more how much the other ones sucked. This pan cooks great. The first thing I made in it were banana pancakes for my kids. They were the best pancakes I've ever made. Usually I am on the struggle bus and end up burning them but they cooked so good in this pan.
