It took 2 hours and the instructions were hard to decipher. I never had to assemble a Weber, Smokey Joe grill. This grill is the worst possible to assemble - directions are unclear, parts don’t fit together, etc. You can spend hours trying to put it together or buy one that actually goes together. Your choice. Not sure what possessed Amazon to pick it as a buyer’s choice. It is not good when you follow the instructions (which isn’t easy) and have parts left over. Thanks but no thanks. I bought this grill to add versatility to my outdoor cooking. I have 10 smokers that I regularly use and I am adding this charcoal grill to my arsenal. The packaging of the grill was good, everything was protected well from damage during shipping. The instructions are mediocre, I was able to assemble my grill as best I could with the hardware provided in about 45 minutes. I say with the hardware provided because I was missing hardware. There was to be two 5mm nuts to hold the vents on, and they shipped washers opposed to nuts. There was to be two 8mm nuts to hold the wheels on that were not in the package, had to outsource those myself. Fortunately I do a lot of mechanical work and I have a Metric nut and bolt bin so I had the necessary hardware on hand to finish assembling my grill. The lower vent is much smaller than the Weber grill vent so I am not sure how this will effect the cook. I will update this review once I perform a cook on this. My initial impression on this grill is you get what you pay for, this is half the cost of a Weber so you are getting half the quality of a Weber.
