Design is very clever. If you put the brackets directly up against the back wall, to get it as close to the window as you can for better backing out, it leaves just enough room so the roller doesn't drag against anything. Once brackets are up, easy snap in. 1 2 3 you're done!

These shades are sturdy, smooth, opaque, and easy to install. A great value and quality for the price, especially for custom dimensions. I ordered 3 shades, and 1 of them had some small but very visible perforations in it (see pics). I was afraid the seller wouldn't provide a refund of replacement, given that it was a custom size. To my delight, the seller replaced the item, no questions asked, no hassles, and they did not ask me to send back the defective item. As a big bonus, I was able to use the defective shade in a basement window, where the esthetics won't matter. High praise to the seller for standing by their product and doing the honorable thing to make things right.
