The media could not be loaded. Between all of the kids activities and the dog events we just needed a little extra storage in the car, and this works perfectly just getting around town to carry baggage or miscellaneous items, and it's pretty simple to just add right on to your trailer hitch with no problem. As for weight, just on normal streets, we noticed no bumping or lagging in the truck. And so far, hasn't added any extra gas usage.

This hitch has been a lifesaver for me. I can put my scooter on to it and just as easily take it off. We drove with it to New Hampshire and Maine. It do a fantastic job through the mountains of both states. I bought locks to replace all of the pins, not because theirs were cheap, but because I trust no one. To many stories of jokers pulling people's pins out, not funny for a handicapped person or anyone else! My wife and daughter put it together with ease, mind you they are novices at this type of thing. It was fairly simple for them as I sat back and watched proudly as they worked. It took them about 20 minutes to put it together. The only disappointment with it is how low it hangs. It's over a foot off the ground, but has still grounded out in mostly parking lots. It's an unnerving sound. It has been no worse the wear for all these groundings. I do not recommend this Hitch for any car as it would hang to low for just about anything. I would purchase it again if ever needed.

Purchased for a mobility scooter but it tends to scrape when going over a bump. Welds are rusting. Took over 1500 miles and works fairly well. Tends to sway when at highway speeds. But it’s better than picking up the scooter and putting it in the trunk

I’m very pleased with this carrier. It is well made, easy to assemble and easy to raise and lower. Kinda blocks my backup camera when it’s in the up position but I just look around me manually like we used to do before we got cameras. I was actually surprised at the quality because the price was so reasonable. It is easy to raise and lower for me and I’m 75. My son helped me connect it to the car initially and I raise and lower it by myself. It doesn’t rattle or shake at all. I hardly know it’s attached.

There are fournvery significant problems with this hitch mount carrier for electric power chairs: 1. It is impossible to drive a front wheel drive powers chair, such as the Permobil F3, up the ramp. The small stabilizer wheels permanently attached to the power chair (see the picture above) impede the ability to drive the chair up the ramp. The only way I managed to do so, is because I bought a heavy duty $350 aluminum ramp (shown in the picture above) from a wheelchair specialty company. And even using that aluminum ramp, I had to Kluge it with specially ubolts and carabiners so that the entire power chair and ramp would not slip off and cause a very serious personal and product safety issue. 2. With a 360 pound power chair on the platform, it is VERY unstable, and likely unsafe. 3. Part of the reason it is so unstable is because it did not come with the stabilizer bracket that has four bolts that is shown in the picture on Amazon. 4. The product has a label on it stating that you cannot drive over 45 mph. This is not listed in the specifications section in Amazon, and when I asked a question on Amazon, I did not receive a response except from other users that say they drive it at highway speeds. This 45 mph limitation should clearly be stated in the specifications. Amazon should be ashamed that it carries this and all similar Power chair hitch mounted carrier products on its website without providing better specification information. All other brands will likely have all four of the problems that I stated above. Buyer beware. Do not buy this product or any similar product for power chairs. They would possibly work for lighter weight power scooters.
