This is the second of these batteries i bought only because i was in a hurry and local homedepot and lowes stores were out and i do know better about buying batteries like this online as they almost always are old sulfated stock and usually half dead.And i was right.And of coarse when you buy these online from amazon and most other places you cant return so your screwed.First off I am am electronic tech so i know very well how to test the capacity of a battery and maintain it properly.I should have quit after the first battery but as i said i was in a hurry.Buy from your local store if possible that way if you have a bad battery they can check or at least exchange with no hassle.The first battery i bought would at least supply 150 watts of power for a 200 watt ups backup system without a instant shutdown of bad battery,which i could live with,so i decided to buy a second one and was hoping at least similar results but NOPE.It would not even have enough to start to supply 85 watts backup without instant shutdown.Also strange is that first battery had a manufacture date within 2 months stamped into it but second one had no date at all so im sure it was old old stock as they probably dont even know for sure..LOL...JUST A WARNING PEOPLE FROM SOMEONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT TESTING CAPACITY OF BATTERIES'''BEWARE AND MAYBE TAKE MY ADVISE...BUY LOCAL IN CASE...LESS RETURN HASSLE...still early but maybe seller will rectify..we,ll see and update. ... show more

    • Trash, don't be tempted by low price

Do not buy! Do not be tempted by the low price! My unit died in just over 5 weeks of use in a Verizon Fios ONT. Of course that's just outside the return window. There's a one year warranty but buyer is responsible for shipping the faulty unit and it would cost me $13 to ship a $18 item without any guarantee that it will be replaced. An equivalent Duracell from a reputable brick-and-mortar retailer costs $36. Maybe I should have known this Mighty Max would be trash considering the price. I'd say you get what you pay for but I'd expect to get at least a few months out of any battery. ... show more

I have used mighty max batteries in a few other projects and had good luck with them. a few days ago the battery backup for my Plex server failed a self test and turned on the replace battery LED. The Expert Power batteries in it were just under 2 years old so needless to say I wont be buying that brand again. UPS batteries have an easy life of constant pampering from the charge controller in the UPS so there is no reason for them to fail in less than two years. with these Mighty Max batteries installed the UPS passed a self test and after running a runtime calibration the UPS reports about 45 minutes of available runtime in the event of a power failure, which is about 15 minutes longer than the expert power batteries when they were new. hopefully in 2 years I wont be editing this review. my review for the expert power batteries went from 5 star to 2 star. 2 star only because they did last past the 1 year warranty. ... show more

    • Wish it had F2 terminals

Use it to replace the battery on a APC Back-UPS BE550G. It seems working just fine. Only issue is the size of the terminals. BE550G has F2 terminals while this battery has F1 terminals. I had no problems plugging F2 connectors to F1 terminals. However, they wiggle and disconnect easily. It’s too bad MightyMax doesn’t make this battery with F2 terminals. Now I’ll just have to see how long it can lasts. ... show more

Description says it works with Back-UPS 550 BE550G. It does not as the terminals are too small. The UPS's connectors do not stay on. It is impossible to install the batter in an BE550G and keep the connectors from falling off. Further, Amazon does not accept returns on this. I had to replace the battery in the basement Verizon Fios box that is used as a backup for voice service. The original battery finally went bad after eight years. The replacement here fit beautifully and was relatively inexpensive for what it is and compared to other brands. It has been running for about a month now without issue.
