I bought this based on the recommendation of a review site I trust, and it looks like their testing has come through again. I’m very happy with this purchase. The battery in my Corolla is nearing the end of its life, and I push it by attending drive-in movies fairly frequently. That means sitting for 2-3+ hours with the engine off and accessories on, listening to the movie through the car stereo. That’s asking a lot of a car battery that also powers the parking mode of a dash cam! I bought this during Prime Days, charged it annd stuck it in the trunk, and I’ve already used it twice! Both times, my engine turned over immediately. This little beauty has more than enough oomph. It’s very simple to use, if you’re at all used to jumper cables, and the size and little carrying case are great for an emergency kit. This is a great 21st c. replacement for the jumper cables I’ve carried for three decades. No more waiting for someone else, no more worries about properly positioning your car(s) so the cables can stretch. After two jumps, the battery light is still on full bars, so I haven’t bothered to charge it again. We’ll see how many jumps it takes to get down to one bar, just out of curiosity. I haven’t had to use the flashlight or other charging abilities, though I did test them, just in case. As always, if something changes one way or the other, I’ll update this review. ... show more

This thing works as advertised. I have a 2014 BMW X3 that's been sitting for a few months. I know the battery is dead and I tried to use a trickle charger to get it to the point where it would start. Surprisingly that didn't work. This led me to believe the battery was completely useless. I still assumed that I could jump the X3 with my other car, and I bought the Gooloo as a backup. Today, I tried starting the X3 by using jumper cables. I started the other car, attached the jumper cables, and allowed the X3 battery to charge a little bit, and then tried to start the X3. No dice. It would not start. Now I'm thinking I'm screwed and will need to get a tow truck to get the X3 out of the garage and to my mechanic. But I have the Gooloo, which I have yet to try out. So an hour after the failure above I tried using the newly purchased Gooloo. I connected the cables to the engine compartment terminals as described. The Gooloo green light blinked, as I expected it would. I pressed the Boost button as directed, which actually caused a few sparks to fly (be careful out there - make sure BOTH cables are seated snuggly). You only have 30 seconds to start the car, so I quickly jumped in the car and to push the start button, and boom, it started! I must admit I was a bit skeptical that such a small device would work better than using jumper cables and the battery of another car, but there you go. I have no comments on any of the other features of this thing, but it worked great for its main purpose. And I'm still in awe of the power that this little device was able to generate that my other car's battery could not. :) ... show more

I purchased 1-2021 & never got a chance to use it. Never had a dead battery. I topped off the charge every 3 months as recommended. Always fully charged. But a few days ago, when I removed it from the car to charge it, I see the case has split open along the seam! I don’t think the battery has swelled bc I can squeeze the top & bottom of the case & force them to meet at the seam. I’m not sure but, this is probably unsafe to use in this condition. Update: I updated to 5/5 since the seller replaced my defective unit with a new unit, even though my warranty had expired. Excellent customer service! ... show more

I had a small pickup truck with a completely drained battery. Jump starting or this device worked so we hooked battery up to a trickle charger and left overnight. Truck still wouldn’t start but the interior lights now came on. We gave this small 1500amp just starter a try and the truck started right up!! Love this thing and it is very small compared to those very large jump starters. This comes with a bag that holds everything. This device is a little larger than the bigger iphones and not heavy at all. Would definitely buy again and will prob get another one for our other vehicle. ... show more

Bought this in July 2021, still going strong. I have jumped everything with this little wonder, bikes, lawn mowers,cars, even a few v8s. Not to mention, the whole month my jeep battery was on its way out. This jumped my jeep everyday. I recommend to anyone, this product does not disappoint. I have beat it, gotten it wet, it still keeps kicking. Don't even consider the bad reviews, they must've got a defective one, or have no idea how to work and maintain it. I now own 3 Gooloo jump starters (one in each of our vehicles). They are reliable and if anything happens to it, contact Gooloo and they stand behind their product. One of my Gooloo jump starters had a problem (battery swelled) and I contacted Gooloo. Even though the product was out of warranty (I purchased it 7 years ago) Gooloo offered me a discount on a replacement. Started immediately (twice) with battery drained to ~10.0v (solid green light without boost) Started immediately (twice) with no battery - after pushing boost/override. Attribute initial difficulties to attaching clamps first, before plugging boost/cables into main body. (Instructions state to plug/unplug first before using clamps.) ... show more
