Cut patch to size, approx. 6" x 24". Rounded the corners. Used on a retractable awning. Held an ironing board underneath while my son ironed the patch from the top. Read the instructions and follow them. It is holding up really good.

June 3, 2025: I have a good pair of pants that is starting to show wear in the seat area. The pants will be expensive to replace, so I want to extend their useful life. I'll try this patch material in hopes that it will work. July 6, 2025: I've delayed trying the patch because I was concerned that the required iron temperature might be too hot for a 60/40 cotton/polyester blend. I finally tried it today and it worked okay. The hardest part was cutting the material to the right shapes to fit. Since I was patching from the inside, I'm glad the hot glue didn't bleed through to the outside. I'm happy with the result. I think this patch material is a good value if large or repeated mending is needed. I'll update the review if anything remarkable happens.

I am pleased with how well this iron on canvas performed. For my specific needs as a sewist and maker I intend to use it for making wallets, pouches, purses and the like. It's original intention is for repair patches and I have no doubt that it would do that job beautifully. When I pressed with my iron on the seams the glue melted quickly and did not seep through. I also made a small tab for the pouch and so I folded the raw edges in towards the middle and ironed it. It pressed together beautifully and thinned down nicely. I like that it's waterproof and very sturdy, well woven material. Regular colored canvas can cost up to 13.99/yard. You get about 1' shy of 2 yards for this and it's fusible/iron on. The only thing was that they say in the description they provide a free sewing kit which I did not receive but I honestly don't need it. I have an industrial sewing machine. And the material sewed well on my machine too, with the glue melted and with it not melted. I don't know about domestic/home sewing machines though. Mine did great.

My dog has a couch (so she will stay off mine) and the zippered cover is a custom fit with a bolster and foam. Thus it's not easily replaceable. She's ripped it before and I sewed on an ugly patch that took me too much time to do (I'm not a seamstress). So when I recently discovered more rips I was not looking forward to sewing in more patches. I had some jean iron on patches, but I'd have to sew in 5 or 6 of those to cover all her damage. That's when I found this iron on roll of canvas. Unfortunately there was no "maroon" color, so I went with the neutral gray. I was able to cut my custom shape and iron it on. I set my iron to "cotton" and pressed each section for about 20 to 30 seconds as instructed. I pulled on it afterwards to see if any edges would come up, but it had adhered well. I'm so happy I didn't have to get out my sewing machine. this took my about 15 minutes to fix. I'm also happy that the canvas is nice and tough. I am going to keep this covered in the future to discourage the destruction. I also have a gazebo cover out back and patio cushion covers that the squirrels often destroy, so this roll is sure to come in handy in the future. This product is a good thing to have on hand.

This is a thick waterproof fabric patch. It is easy to use; simply heat an iron, cut patch material to size and apply to material to be repaired. The patch adheres well and is thick and durable. This functions well to repair outdoor cushions. The color of the light gray is a light gray. I was impressed with this patch repair item. This is a good deal to repair outdoor material.
