pretty light wok compared to what I was using which was pretty heavy so difficult to toss ignore those who gave bad review at least the ones complaining about rust since they dont know how to season or those who said Teflon was flaking off... what lol XD

Title says it. Just okay. Woks are suppose to heat evenly. This does not and it's a not a nonstick so well...food sticks! I guess it just means cooking at a lower heat or way too much oil which means paying for it later if you get what I mean. Not a waste just not what I expected.

    • Disappointing Experience with the Goodful Carbon Steel Wok Cookware Set
I recently purchased the Goodful Hammered Carbon Steel Pow Wok Pan with Lid Cookware Set, hoping to enhance my cooking experience. However, my encounter with this product left much to be desired. While the marketing claims and features sounded promising, my actual experience was quite different. One of the primary features highlighted was the "authentic professional wok" design, which promised authentic results. Unfortunately, this claim fell flat. The wooden handle, touted for its comfort and control, turned out to be more of a hindrance than a benefit. The handle seemed to lack proper insulation, making it uncomfortably hot to touch during cooking. It left me struggling to maintain a firm grip while cooking, which resulted in several near accidents in the kitchen. The wooden lid, supposedly aiding in moisture retention and faster cooking, proved to be a letdown as well. It didn't fit securely onto the wok, allowing steam and heat to escape, leading to uneven cooking and prolonged cooking times. This flaw negated the supposed advantages of using a lid altogether. As for the promised cooking versatility, I found that the wok's performance was inconsistent across different cooktops. While it claims compatibility with a variety of surfaces, including induction and gas stoves, I experienced uneven heating and hot spots, causing certain parts of my dishes to burn while others remained undercooked. This resulted in a frustrating cooking experience and wasted ingredients. The range of cooking techniques promised by the product's description also didn't live up to expectations. Attempts at stir-frying and pan frying resulted in food sticking to the pan's interior, despite its supposed nonstick properties. Cleaning up after each use became a time-consuming and frustrating task, contradicting the "easy to clean" claim. The initial setup process was another disappointment. The instructions emphasized washing the wok without soap and seasoning it with vegetable oil. However, the wok's surface seemed to resist proper seasoning, leaving it with an uneven and unreliable nonstick quality. This made cooking and cleanup even more challenging, and I found myself struggling to achieve the desired results. In conclusion, my experience with the Goodful Hammered Carbon Steel Pow Wok Pan with Lid Cookware Set was far from satisfactory. The product's claims of authenticity, versatility, and easy maintenance did not align with the actual performance I encountered. The uncomfortable handle, ill-fitting lid, inconsistent heating, and poor nonstick properties all contributed to a frustrating cooking experience.
