THIS IS ONLY 2 OZ! I did not realize that when buying this. I bought this in Rock Lobster for my daughter. When it arrived I took one look at the bottle, realized my mistake and threw it in a bathroom drawer for possible use later. She decided she wanted pink hair instead, so we bought Ex Girl in a 5oz bottle. She has light/medium brown hair with blonde highlights that hits slightly below her shoulders. Ex girl covered her hair beautifully with bright pink streaks and a pink tint to her natural hair. The 5oz we bought just barely did her whole head, so no way the 2oz was going to touch it. Lo and behold, 2 weeks after dyeing it pink, she decided again she wants red hair. Well, it says the 2oz is for streaks and strands, so I decided to try to just cover the outside strands with Rock Lobster. Total success. It covered all of her outer strands, highlighted and unhighlighted and she has bright red hair. She looks like Ariel. I was unsure of how it would come out going over the pink, but it is beautiful and bright. It's been a couple of weeks now and doesn't seemed to have faded, the red is holding steady. Her pink I could see fading after about two weeks, but not this red. Not yet. As far as other aspects of the dye itself, it smells amazing, moisturizes and covers well. There was some red dye on her towels after the first and second washes, but nothing too terrible and the towels came out good as new after one wash. No dye on her pillows after sleeping either. It has a very thick consistency, which I personally like. It might be a bit more difficult to spread around because of this, but there was nothing dripped on the floor to clean up. ... show more

It feels more pink in person, but its super vibrant. (This was put on bleached hair) I love this brand because of the smell and easy application process. I probably could’ve been more efficient with it, but its ok. I just squeezed it onto my head and rubbed it in, then let it set for like an hour or so and washed it out with cold water. Didnt mess with my hair texture, always use this brand if i want a crazy bright color. ... show more

this is a semi permanent dye so you must must must bleach your hair for the color to hold on. I bleached until like level 10, and then ONLY shampooed the bleach out do not condition as this will close up your hair follicle. I really love this dye honestly, i’ve only washed twice since dying about three weeks ago (I gotta preserve this color as i spent like 7 hours doing my hair lmao, dry shampoo is my best friend) but i am assuming because its semi permanent that it fades pretty quickly if you wash with hot water and wash often. it smells so good like lemongrass!! and has an almost waxy texture so it can stretch pretty far, i got two bottles just for my roots as my hair is INCREDIBLY thick which i didn't actually need 2. it was the cleanest dying process ever because of the thicker texture it didn’t drip off of the hair comb (i am currently forgetting the word for the tool lol) The third photo is spot where i missed so i don’t think its the products fault at all, but maybe its helpful to show how lifted my hair was :) ... show more

I really like how their red isn’t orangey, it looks amazing. I just wish it lasts a bit longer, I find that I have to re-dye my hair a bit more often than usual with this. I also like the scent, it’s not too overbearing
