This replaced old hardware on a repainted door. It came in a sturdy box with all parts set in stiff foam to insure nothing arrived scratched. The build quality was excellent. It looks both pleasant and modern.

I had to replace my front door handle, which had a similar design to this one, and I am very pleased with this as a replacement. It looks very modern and sleek, and matches nicely with our recently spruced-up house, and I love actually using this. The outside handle portion doesn't need much travel distance before the door will open, and the inside feels similarly smooth. The latch both catches and releases well, and overall, it's very nice to use. There is a bit of customizability in the different pieces, which is very much appreciated for installation. For example, the attach point for the bottom of the handle could move up and down, so I was able to align it with the already-existing hole in my door. I can't speak for installing from scratch, but at least when replacing an old handle, installation was very easy, only taking less than 10 minutes in total. One thing to note is that I think some of the notes in the instruction manual are wrong. For example, it says that it would come with a washer and a cap for the inner part of the bottom of the handle. Instead, there was a single piece that I think was meant to serve as both (as it doesn't stand out like a normal washer would). The latch brackets also didn't have rounded corners (which is rare to find these days), but I was able to snip these to make them fit in my already-existing door. ... show more
