This item is easy to install for anyone who has installed a door handle and lock before. The instructions are clear. KEEP THE INSTRUCTIONS! If you want to add fingerprints, you'll need the instructions, unless you have a great memory. I read a lot of negatives about the battery life. That has not been my experience. I installed this 12/20/24 and it is currently 5/28/25 and I have not changed the batteries yet. Sometimes the unit miscellaneously beeps. It can because of a misread fingerprint or the door not being pulled closed all the way. I have even had some long tones which I thought indicated that the batteries needed to be changed but so far, they are still working very well. I used regular Duracell batteries. When unlocking, make sure you wait for the bolt to fully retract (green light will illuminate) or you can catch it while it is retracting and it will get stuck and then you are in trouble if you do not have the key. I recommend carrying the key with you just in case. Keep in mind that with this unit, you do not get a lock on the doorknob itself, just the deadbolt. I highly recommend this lock. ... show more

I’m honestly really happy with this Veise Fingerprint Door Lock! It looks so sleek on my front door with the matte black finish—definitely gives it that modern, upgraded vibe. The fingerprint scanner and keypad make it super easy to get in and out without digging around for keys, which is a total game changer. Install was a bit of a struggle—not gonna lie, the instructions weren’t super clear and it took me a little while to get everything lined up and working. But once it’s on, it fits perfectly and feels really solid and high-quality. It also beeps. A lot. Like when you press buttons, lock, unlock… it’s kinda loud and caught me off guard. Thankfully, there’s a silent mode, which I turned on right away, and now it’s totally fine. Durability-wise, it feels super sturdy and well-made—definitely doesn’t feel cheap, which I was a little nervous about at this price point. Speaking of price—the value is amazing. I have had no issues with this product so far! We set it up with fingerprints, 2 codes, and the key as a just-in-case. Connectivity is great. Just don't close the door while it's locking, it can leave a dent! Highly recommend, and this is coming from a tech nerd.

I just installed this product. I thought the original deadlock hole was offset and did not fit this keyless lock. However, I noticed the video on their website showed that you can extended the bolt and put the lock properly over the hole. Bingo! It fit perfectly and the rest of the install was a breeze. Be sure to read the instructions carefully and watch the appropriate video for the specific Lock that your purchased. Quality product. I don’t know how to explain it properly. The upper lock is fantastic but, the bottom lock is not functioning properly. The door cannot close without locking the top lock. The bottom tongue is not long enough to properly closed the door without locking it.
