I have always been a tech guy, and I like to keep my house up to date with the latest and greatest smart tech. I have owned 5 different types of electronic/wifi locks for my house, and they were all pretty slick.. but this lock is in a class COMPLETELY by itself. I have owned it for several months now, and I still am amazed by how this thing works. So here are the things that stand out about this lock: It is completely effortless and lightning fast to unlock your door. When you walk up to it, it senses motion and wakes up, then you simply hold your hand up a few inches in front of it, and in less than a half of a second, the door unlocks. It does it so fast that it feels like it reads your mind. On my previous locks, they all had fingerprint scanners and keypads. The fingerprint scanners were my primary method of unlocking, but if my hands were wet or dirty, half the time the lock would not read correctly and I would get an error. Sometimes I had to scan my finger 3 or 4 times to finally get it to unlock. With this Lockin smart lock, it doesn't matter if your hands are wet or dirty.. it reads your palm and unlocks EVERY time. As a matter of fact, of the hundreds of times I have used it, I do not believe it has ever failed a single time to read my palm. My whole family loves it, because of the reliability and speed! On top of the genius palm reading tech, it also has a keypad, and a camera! It's a very sleek, nice looking lock, heavy duty, and has a nice rechargeable battery pack. I would challenge anyone to find a more convenient, and more reliable lock anywhere. I can confidently say, this may be the best lock on the market as of 2025.

The Lockin Veno Plus Video Smart Lock has been an excellent upgrade for my home security. The 2K camera quality is impressively clear, and the 180° wide-angle view gives a great look at anyone approaching the door. I really like being able to check the live video feed and monitor deliveries directly from my phone. The smart lock functions work smoothly, and having multiple unlocking options adds a lot of convenience for family and guests. This product did not last a full year and in fact shut down just shy (about 2 weeks) of the 1 year purchase date. When it worked it worked well, but when it died, it just suddenly died. The battery is fully charged but the message to the spindle to turn isn't getting sent so while the app shows the door was unlocked via code, palm vein, thumbprint, etc. the spindle makes no noise and does not turn. The autolock feature no longer works as a result as well. A warranty claim was sent to Lockin explaining this in detail and a reply came a few days later telling me to do all kinds of work, record a video, try this and that, send a log which would show no error because see my first few sentences, etc. I had already tried most things so I declined and suggested they troubleshoot their own product when they send me a replacement and receive their faulty product back. It's been 2 weeks now and I've received no reply. So it appears as of now that they are not honoring their own 1 year warranty. Buyer beware if that was a selling point for you. I'll be looking for other products from more reputable companies.

I love the lock and how it integrates with my smart home and Homekit. Unfortunately there is one massive oversight that has become extremely problematic for me! It is the lack of an option to control the voice that confirms your lock has successfully locked when auto-lock is applied. I can't disable the voice all together nor can I control the volume of the voice. The only way to prevent it from very loudly exclaiming "door locked" is to completely disable the autolock feature which kind of defeats what this product is designed to do. I optimistically updated the device's firmware (which was insanely difficult and took hours of failed attempts before successfully updating) hoping that it would resolve the lack of control over that specific feature, but it did not. When in the companion app, I have gone into audio settings and muted every option that mute was allowed; the options that just allowed audio volume control but not mute, I lowered to the minimum setting. After adjusting all of those audio settings, the super loud "door locked" voice confirmation still was present. This is such a big deal for me and my household as this is on a door within the house; not an entryway door, so every time I open the bedroom door this lock is on, the very loud confirmation is startling when in the middle of night and others are sleeping. It is also embarrassing during the day when friends are at the house and the door is constantly yelling "door locked" every time I open and shut the door. Because of how significant this is for me, I wanted to give 1 star review, but that would be a disservice to an otherwise very well made and designed product. *UPDATE as of 4-18-25* Lockin actually reached out to me after I wrote them a message describing my issue and are actively working on a fix to resolve it. That's unheard of is the best of ways! They have been in constant contact providing me any new information regarding the fix and an estimated timeline of the fix. They have issued a firmware update to the actual hardware as well as app updates. They have told me they are still actively working on a firmware update to resolve my issue that should be available in the next week or two. I don't think I have ever had a company work to fix an issue that is an issue for me as most other users are not affected by. I've somewhat become used to poor customer service as the norm, that having great customer service is almost shocking! Personally, I put good customer service right up there with quality of product. Knowing a company stands behind their products and will respond to your inquiries allows you to purchase their products with piece of mind. They are my new 1st choice in security smart locks, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough! *Also, they resolved the issue I had completely! Really great service all around. Highly recommended!

I’m updating my original review (which was 2 stars) because the company reached out and sent me a new replacement battery. I really appreciate that they took my concern seriously and responded by providing a solution. That level of support deserves recognition, so I’m raising my rating to 4 stars for now. At this moment, I’m still testing the new battery. My original unit was lasting only about 8 days, which was far below the advertised “up to 3 months.” The replacement battery is now installed, and I’m monitoring its performance to see if it solves the issue. For fairness and transparency: I haven’t yet gathered enough days of use to compare the real battery life. Once I have a clear picture of how long this new battery actually lasts, I will update this review again with the final results. For now, I want to thank the company for responding and sending a replacement. I hope the new battery performs closer to expectations, and I’ll share the final outcome as soon as I have enough data. (Previous review) If you’re considering this smart lock because it promises “up to 3 months” of battery life, please read this before you buy. I purchased the Lockin Veno Plus specifically for that reason. On paper, it sounded like the perfect all-in-one solution: a modern smart lock, a 2K camera, biometrics, everything integrated. I was excited to install it. But after using it for a short time, the excitement turned into frustration. My battery lasts only 8 days. Not 90 days. Not 60. Not even 30. Eight. And before anyone assumes “heavy use,” here’s the reality: All settings are on lowest power consumption We rarely use the deadbolt (we enter through the garage) Our usage is extremely light I’ve followed every battery-saving recommendation Even with the lock doing almost nothing all week, the battery still drains to zero in a matter of days. The gap between the marketing promise and the real-world performance is simply too big to ignore. And here’s the part that really worries me: What happens when I travel for more than 8 days? My “smart” doorbell becomes a dark, dead device attached to my front door — with no camera, no alerts, no security. That completely defeats the purpose of why I bought it. The entire selling point was having a device that stays powered for months, not days. I reached out to support with all the order details, hoping this was just a defective battery. No response. Zero. For a $250+ product, that level of customer service is unacceptable. The idea behind this lock is fantastic — truly. But between the extremely poor battery performance and the total lack of support, it’s very hard for me to recommend it in its current state. If Lockin replaces my battery or acknowledges the issue, I’ll be glad to update this review. Until then, this has been a disappointing experience that buyers should be aware of.

The palm read option is really convenient and the app and camera are very functional and have a lot of different set up options. With the smart lock, the door can lock automatically which is very convenient. The camera can be adjusted to show the best view of the porch. Overall this is a great smart lock. Customer service is also very fast and is helping me get a replacement strike plate since I lost the first one.
