This lock is incredibly amazing. I didn't expect as much from it as I got. It was easy to install, pretty much fit perfectly into the holes that were already there. The battery lasts for a long time. I don't know why the app has such bad reviews, because for me, it works perfectly. Very easy to add fingerprints, palm scans, codes, and other people! The camera captures everything, it captures all motion, recognizes people, and records with no problem, unlike Ring, that only catches the very last bit of motion... It looks very modern and is very strong and durable. It ALWAYS locks the door behind you when you go in and out, so you don't ever need to worry about forgetting to lock the door! And there are multiple settings in the app to adjust the lock to your preferences! I have always been a tech guy, and I like to keep my house up to date with the latest and greatest smart tech. I have owned 5 different types of electronic/wifi locks for my house, and they were all pretty slick.. but this lock is in a class COMPLETELY by itself. I have owned it for several months now, and I still am amazed by how this thing works. So here are the things that stand out about this lock: It is completely effortless and lightning fast to unlock your door. When you walk up to it, it senses motion and wakes up, then you simply hold your hand up a few inches in front of it, and in less than a half of a second, the door unlocks. It does it so fast that it feels like it reads your mind. On my previous locks, they all had fingerprint scanners and keypads. The fingerprint scanners were my primary method of unlocking, but if my hands were wet or dirty, half the time the lock would not read correctly and I would get an error. Sometimes I had to scan my finger 3 or 4 times to finally get it to unlock. With this Lockin smart lock, it doesn't matter if your hands are wet or dirty.. it reads your palm and unlocks EVERY time. As a matter of fact, of the hundreds of times I have used it, I do not believe it has ever failed a single time to read my palm. My whole family loves it, because of the reliability and speed! On top of the genius palm reading tech, it also has a keypad, and a camera! It's a very sleek, nice looking lock, heavy duty, and has a nice rechargeable battery pack. I’m honestly not very impressed with this product. I originally bought it for our apartment, and right after installation the first unit didn’t have enough power to turn the lock automatically and would stick. It seemed like some type of motor or gear issue. I returned it and received a replacement. Installation on the second one went smoothly, but I’ve continued having issues with the camera and app. The camera freezes often and doesn’t work as advertised. I rarely get activity notifications at my door, and when I open the app it frequently just keeps loading and spinning without connecting. The main reason I chose this lock was because it doesn’t require a subscription, which is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the glitches and performance issues. I had also considered buying another one for an outdoor shed, but after this experience I’ll be looking at other options instead. UPDATE: I’ve taken away another star because not even the fact that there is not a subscription is enough to justify that this “smart” lock is just not worth it. The video feed has completely stopped working altogether. It will not allow me to use the feature of real time access to who’s at the door etc. I cannot even see any camera usage anymore. It doesn’t even send me accurate information on who, when and how the door was opened. The battery only last about a week and a half before I have to charge it again. I just feel like I’m having to babysit my front door! Honestly, I want my money back. This is ridiculous. Worst purchase ever. ... show more

Overall, this is a very solid door lock. It has almost everything a smart lock can offer now — door lock, multiple modes of recognition and unlocking, online connectivity, surveillance camera, two way talking, cloud and local storage, rechargeable battery, and more. The install was very straightforward. Using the device and the companion app has been easy enough as well. The only complaint I have for this product is that the lithium ion battery doesn’t seem to last for long before needing recharged. You are given options to preserve battery life by selecting a mode for the lock to operate in based on how active you want the alarm detection. I have to say that I have had other electronic locks and this one blows me away. The lock’s appearance is professional and of good quality . The palm feature is its biggest and best feature of all. The other features such as finger print and keypad entry work great and very fast and accurate as well. U could say that this is a doorbell camera and smart lock all in one. Once the doorbell is pressed, You can see a live feed of who’s behind the door and it is very quick to show up on your phone. You can also record video and take pictures of people behind the door. The video events are stored in the camera and you can download them any time. The software allows you to make many adjustments from the timing of the auto lock to scheduling entry numbers for others, and so many other options. It is also compatible with Google and Alexa which is a big plus for me. The battery lasts up to 4 months depending on usage. It is a 5000ma lithium battery pack. So no more buying double AA batteries !! I bought the package with the extra battery for an extra $30 so once one battery pack runs low I just swap them out. The Veno Plus smart door lock does it all. Its doorbell, camera , deadbolt lock, fingerprint reader, access code reader, automatic door lock, in one device. the fisheye camera displays the full body of the person at the door. The most outstanding feature is the accuracy of the palm vein reader. The device reads the veins under the skin, and it does it quickly (within a second) and accurately. I tried many locks with a fingerprint reader and they all failed because I am over 80 years old and your print is not always detected by these lock fingerprint readers. Well this lock not only reads my veins but it also reads my fingerprints. The lock has its own memory so there is no need to add a memory card and you do not have to buy a monthly service from them. The lock is both WiFi and bluetooth connected to your iPhone so you can monitor the lock and receive notifications wherever you are. The lock has a very clear and loud speaker that allows you to communicate with someone at the door wherever you are. The downloaded app is chock full of features that allows you to customize the lock function to your satisfaction . When you buy a smart doorbell, all you get is a smart doorbell, the Lockin Veino Plus gives you everything you would need to secure the front door. I have to say it again, the palm vein reader is mind boggling quick and accurate. Now my whole extended family (up to 50 people) can get access to our house by just waving at the front door lock. When I initially installed the lock, the video feature did not work consistently. It took a couple of weeks to work out the problem, but their tech support stayed with me by constantly interacting and making suggestions through text, email, and over the phone till the problem was solved, So I must say that the tech support was excellent. ... show more
