I absolutely love these types of pencils. The designs on these particular pencils are very fun and varied, and there are a lot for the price. The print does come off after awhile where you are holding it, but that is fairly normal with any item that has images or print where there is rub or friction. The reason for my 3 star rating is due to the fact that the tips of the pencil casing tend to get multiple cracks in them after one or two uses, so the pencil lead nibs aren't solid when you try to write, they bend and buckle, which doesn't really allow you to use the pencil at all. I have tried to super glue the cracks which seems like it might work to extend the pencil life a bit more, but you need to be careful the glue doesn't drip through and glue the lead nibs in place! (So take the lead nibs out if you try to glue the cracks). I was also thinking perhaps a poly sealant might also work to paint on the ends? However that is alot of work for a pencil lol. ... show more

It is great product....especial for the price. Only 1 of my covers came missing. Didn't have that black stand shown. When you write the design comes off easily with use. Within 2 hours - and I don't have sweaty hands - the shiny pink came off. The patterns like giraffes stays longer. But the barrel of the pencil are cute colours so it not bad. Some are plain too. The pencil works Ok but the little lead goes up into the plastic stackers. Then the stacker was going back up through the back cover while writing. But having used almost all the leads in one pencil I realize that it remains functional. The pencil tips are pointy and nice and that's why my daughter likes them and seek them out. I've never had a point beak and she writes kinda hard. We did more than one project with them. She likes that it does NOT have to sharpen. Covers crack easily. We don't rely on them. The pencil stacks don't fall out and we have rolled on them in the bed. The barrels don't break. I rewrote my review as I may have been too quick to criticise. I'm actually looking to buy another box even though I have more than half of 1st box. But I'm a stationary-aholic... and won't want it to finish especially since my daughter likes them. 051719: on my 3rd box (2nd box was stolen after partial use). I only got 48 this time, not 50. But I really like these pencils. Yes she knows how to use mechanical pencils but this is more economical. ... show more

    • bargain price
bargain price, can't really beat it at 34 cents a piece. The lead is strong and writes like just any other pencil. What I really like about this type is that when the tip gets worn out, just pull out the old one and have a fresh tip ready to go. No need to use a pencil sharpener. The tips are also stronger then a mechanical pencil which breaks off way to easily. I use these pencils for all my around the house, handyman and wood working projects. Nice touch is that these have erasers too. Sure they are not that strong and the plastic will break if mishandled but it's cheap... I bought a set of 6 that must have lasted me 10 years so this pack of 50 will probably be the last time i ever have to buy pencils again!!! ... show more

These are adorable pencils with fun designs and coloured eraser combinations. I gave 4 stars because the top doesn't fit tightly enough to stay put. If you don't make sure that it has shut snuggly, the top falls off often, and when it falls, the eraser falls off too 🙁. So, if giving to children, be aware of that. ... show more

    • Exactly like I remembered them!
A friend and I were talking about how we missed these pencils (especially with kidding elementary school now,and having to still help the younger ones sharpen their pencils). I looked them up on Amazon and had to buy a bit of nostalgia for us. They are exactly like we remember them. Write awesome, lead parts fit the body perfect, caps fall off just like they always did, the erasers still need that dab of super glue to stay put, everything. I know adults want to complain about the caps and erasers, but they were always like that. Heck, none of my friends even remembered that they came with caps because we all lost them immediately! It took me less than two minutes to glue the tricksy erasers in on all 50 erasers, which my mom confirms she used to do for me. The best part is that this pack was big enough to share with my friends AND their kids. I will absolutely be buying these again! ... show more

    • Good to write with but ugly to look at.
This is the only type of pencils I enjoy writing with. I have written with many stack point pencils in my lifetime. This particular pencil is definitely on the poorer side of quality for this type of pencil. Here is why: The plastic cap on the end where you stick the empty pencil points in is poorly molded and misshapen on most of the pencils. It tapers inward also, so some of the points get stuck as you're shoving them in. The erasers are horrible and don't work at all. I have had a couple tips with the lead missing altogether. And, the patterns on the pencil are really, really ugly. Then did not come in the stand-up case as pictured. They are just loose in a plastic bag. The most important quality of this type of pencils, however, is that the pencil is "tight" when all of the leads are in place. This protects against a wobbly writing tip. These pencils have a very tight fit, making them very nice to write with. ... show more

Love it! I got these for my son’s Valentine’s Day school, look great, everything came on time, nothing broken. The only thing I would have love if they had more variety for boys or more colors for both genders. It makes me remember of the stackable pencils I had when I was a kid, they were so fun!
