    • It only lasted a few uses
we got 3 or 4 uses of it. Stored in my bathroom cabinet, it was never in the water longer than 30 mins or so, and today when I got it out it’s all deteriorated inside and unusable. Worked great while it was usable! I guess if you buy one, make sure the plastic is super super tightly closed and then maybe try to seal it with some sort of water resistant tape and THEN put it in the silicone case before putting it in water. Edit: Now it’s several weeks later, this light still works! I adjusted my rating and adding to my review because of the amazing customer service. After writing my original review below, the company contacted me and was proactive on correcting any issues. They went above and beyond any expectations. Again, even with a little bit of rust, this light still works. 💙 I received this light six days ago. I’ve used it in my hot tub twice and water has obviously gotten inside and the battery port is already rusted. I had the lid screwed on firmly. I’m going to dry it out in the sun and try a layer of Teflon tape to see if that seals it up better because this light really is cool. I added two photos of my hot tub with the light on. The blue is amazing and chill and the green makes it look really witchy!💙💚🧙 The remote works only when it’s about a foot- maybe 18” or less underwater. When I had the light at the bottom of the hot tub, the remote did not work. I simply pulled up the light to make the adjustments I wanted and put the light back. If you use the suction cup, I would peel the light off by slipping a fingernail under the edge of the suction cup, rather than just pulling on the unit. The rubber casing is quite thin and I would imagine it can tear easily. ... show more

This is great works underwater but the silicone seal ripped and it’s only 3 months old! So I don’t submerge it anymore, n the color changes to different colors I didn’t choose?! But for the price it is worth it!

    • Seizure inducing strobe effect
Using any of the fade/smooth/strobe functions sets off an unpleasant, dizzying sequence of flashes and fast-blinking lights in ever changing colors. Solid light can also be used, but only one color at a time. I bought this to replace a similar light that was rendered useless after I dropped the remote and it evidently broke. There is no switch on the light itself, so if the remote goes on the fritz you’re screwed. However, that light would slowly and gently fade from one color to the next, which was very calming. The media could not be loaded. I created this Beta Fish Tank and so far so good. I had to place the light it the bottom of the tank. I will update in a month if things change. Right now it's just what I wanted. Looks great
