About a year ago I purchased one of those shrinking and expandable garden hoses, the kind you used to see advertised on TV about every 30 minutes, but not so much anymore. That might be because mine lasted just about one year before the material started to leak like crazy. I wash my car at least once a week and I prefer to do it myself at home, so I use a garden hose pretty frequently, so I need a sturdy garden hose. This particular garden hose is much lighter than those old-school rubber hoses, which I really appreciate, and the design is quite a bit different from those hoses that shrink and expand. This one reminds me more of a smaller version of a fire hose. It's flat and can be easily rolled up with no trouble. I'm a little concerned about the fixtures on both ends, though. The fixture that attached to the water spigot is fine, but it looks like it's made of cheap plastic. We'll see how it holds up. But the spray nozzle that comes with this hose is pretty cheap and useless for me because it already leaks where it attaches to the hose. I have a better spray nozzle that I connected to the hose and there is no leakage with it. Also, the force of the water spray is not all that great with the nozzle provided with the hose. But if you're like me, you probably already have a decent spray nozzle. So, we'll see if this one holds up better than my last garden hose. I'm hoping it lasts at least a year or two.

I've never seen a hose like this one! It's FLAT! It looks to be very well made. It is quite light - lighter than my other garden hoses. It comes with spare washers and a pistol grip sprayer that boasts 9 different watering patterns. When I tried it out, I did not notice any difference in flow from my regular hoses. It drains easily after use, making it a breeze to put away. That's especially important this time of year. It was in the mid to high 60's until tonight, but we're having hard freezes tonight and tomorrow night. Leaving a hose out in the weather with even a little water it in in this weather is asking for a ruined hose. With this hose, it was easy to drain it, and after draining it was light enough to carry conveniently in one hand. It makes up into a tight, small package. That makes it easy to carry and put in a safely warm barn! The hose is made of strong PVC, explaining why it is so light. The PVC is covered with a cloth sheath made of polyester silk. The sheath will protect the PVC from damage as it is used. The hose has standard American hose connectors. Extra washers are supplied. They are excellent washers, and will allow you to make sure your connections don't leak. The sprayer is solid and well made. It has a strange water valve, but it is quite effective. I'm used to sprayers with a trigger you pull to spray water. This has a "thingy" on the top back of the sprayer that acts as a lever to control water flow. It is a bit tight, but not too bad. But if you drop it? It won't turn off the flow of water, so keep a good grip on it! It comes with a TWO year warranty! Not bad! I like it! I suspect it will get a LOT of use this summer because we have two separate gardens, one about 100+ feet higher on the mountainside than the lower garden. I may need to buy another of these hoses so I don't have to trot a single one back and forth!

This hose is soo good! It is lightweight, comes with its own nozzle and is collapsible, making it easy to store, take out and use. The connections are nice and tight, and there are no leaks. Fifty feet is exactly what I needed. Allows me to use it virtually anywhere in my yard. Even better, it has 3/4" connectors, rather than 1/2" or 5/8", allowing it to move an awful lot of water. You would expect a so-so nozzle at this price- but they surprise you with a quality nozzle. It has nine different spray patterns, Best of all for me is the light weight- under three pounds. This is way lighter than standard hoses, and when they say it is kink free, that is no hype- it really is kink free, Last is the price point. For a fifty foot, kink free hose, with 3/4 " connectors and weighing less than three pounds- the price point is ridiculously low. This is truly a five star hose.

I had poor results initially but after leaving hose pressurized for half hour, the hose will stay largely kink free for good. The hose drains itself! If you carefully apply rubber washer the supplied hose nozzle interface is leakproof! The hose gets better with use.

This is a very light garden hose. It is the flat type and does not fully ballon up when water is passing through it. The hose feels and looks well made. I have been using this for a week plus now and so far it is holding on well. I like that it is light and easy to handle and carry around. The water stream is the same as the regular hose. I did not use the nozzle yet as I still have a fully functioning old one. The Nozzle feels a little cheap but maybe it is just me. The plastic feels a little thin to me. Anyway, I got this for the garden hose and I think the hose is good quality and will last. Overall a good hose.

There is no truth to the claims to be kink free, this hose kinks more easily than any hose I’ve ever used! It twists up, has a very small hose inside a cloth sheath. The picture showing a car running it over it s a joke, just stepping on the hose cuts the water supply down to a drip! Worst garden hose ever! Sending it back!
