I have had the chair almost 3 years. Bought at the start of Covid with working from home and have continued to work from home sense. It was great for the first year, the 2nd year the life so I can lower or go higher in the chair broke and the seems of the seat started to come apart. Year 3 it is very uncomfortable and hurts to sit in. I am finally upgrading my chair. If I wanted the same style I would buy again as I feel 2-3 years of constant use is pretty good for the price.

I started rambling so I will present several sections you can choose to read or skip: 1. Packaging 2. Initial impression 3. Comfort 4. Improvements to make Let's begin. Packaging: I was skeptical of buying the chair when I looked at some of the other reviews where the chair came damaged. It's leather, so it is subject to being stretched or torn during shipping if the packaging is not up to snuff. My top concern when it came in was the box. Small stuff, I know, but it does not make it very clear which end goes up and which end goes on the ground. This matters. If the base (made of iron) were to press into the leather, it could stretch it and create an ugly crater in the seat. Overall I give an 80% for packaging quality. Initial Impressions: Ultimately when unpacking, I noticed there is slight stretching along the seam where my left shoulder blade sits. The stitches are also rather inconsistent at the seams, some of them create bumps on the seams while on the other side it is smooth. Not symmetrical to the eye. Not worth returning the chair, but it is somewhat shoddy workmanship, if this stuff is done by machines, they need retooling to maintain consistency. 80% Comfort: This chair is definitely not meant to go up against office chairs in a real office building. I am on the smaller side, when I sit down I sink straight to the plywood or whatever makes up the structure of the base. The back is smooth and feels nice. It is a light chair and moves well on the casters provided. 85% Improvements to make: I purchased better casters that will arrive soon to replace the included casters, I use this on a rug and the bottom of the barrel casters that come with most chairs (these ones are slightly above those) are awful. I recommend buyers get better casters if they can. The only recommendation to the seller is to improve consistency in the construction process. If the small flaws were not present I would give this a solid 5 stars.

For reference (because I like to know when I browse through reviews like these) I'm a 115 lb and 5'-6" woman. PROS | I like this chair a lot. It's pretty comfortable. It has a wide seat, I can sit crisscross apple sauce in this chair comfortably which is a weird thing to look for in a office chair but it's definitely something I look for 😂. The leather/pleather is soft. The stitching detail is just lovely. I love the black metal base matches with the black wheels. It feels nice in my livingroom converted WFH office space. You can adjust the height smoothly, roll around freely, and swivel with grace. It is simply a pretty chair. CONS | It doesn't have much cushioning or back support for extended periods of use. I originally bought this pre-lockdown when I was only expecting to use it 1-4 hours a day. I wasn't expecting to be WFH and be sitting on +40 hours a week. If I had I would definitely have gotten a more ergonomic chair and sacrificed aesthetics to stay in the same price range. Ignore the title, this chair is not ergonomic in any sense, no back support, no lumbar support, no adjustable tilt, or tension. MAKING IT WORK FOR ME | I'm making due, I've made a cushion out of a white plush blanket to give myself a little more cushioning and support. I ended up also buying an electronic standing desk and this works really well if you have an electric standing desk and plan to stand and sit through out the working day. It's really a lovely chair for what it is.
