  • The best thermal by far for the price. The best thermal by far for the price.
Style: 256-25
As someone who does a lot of hog hunting here in Texas I use thermal optics quite a bit. Of all the ones I have had an opportunity to use this one is very nice. The clarity is exceptional as is the ease of use. The 8x zoom is very nice for shooting pigs at night. The one shot zero for sight in purposes was very good as was the multiple color pallets for contrast on multiple terrains from woods to pastures. I would honestly recommend this thermal to anyone and everyone especially considering the price point. For what others cost you can literally buy 2 or 3 of these and outfit multiple rifles. ... show more

  • Great thermal scope for night hunting without spending premium money Great thermal scope for night hunting without spending premium money
Style: 256-25
I bought this thermal scope mainly for night hunting, and honestly, it has impressed me more than I expected. I wasn’t expecting a top-tier expensive optic, but for the price, this scope delivers a lot of real-world performance. The biggest thing for me is how quickly it helps me pick up heat signatures in the dark. When scanning across a field or along a brush line, animals stand out clearly enough that I’m not guessing at every little movement. Even when something is partially hidden in grass or brush, the image gives me enough detail to understand what I’m looking at instead of just seeing a blurry hot spot. The view is smooth when scanning, which matters a lot when tracking coyotes, hogs, or other predators that don’t stay still for long. It feels natural to follow movement, and I don’t feel like I’m fighting the image while trying to keep an animal in view.I also like the different viewing modes and reticle options. They make the scope more useful in different conditions, whether I’m looking across an open field, checking the edge of the woods, or dealing with changing weather and background temperatures. It feels like a scope made for actual night hunting, not just something that looks good in a product listing. The automatic recording feature is a nice bonus. During a hunt, I don’t want to stop and mess with buttons, so having the scope capture important moments automatically feels practical. The app sharing is also useful when someone nearby wants to see what I’m seeing through the scope. Build quality feels solid, and it handled cold weather and light moisture without any problems. Battery life was enough for an evening hunt, which is important because once you are already out in the field, reliability matters more than anything.Overall, I think this is a very strong value thermal scope. It gives clear detection, smooth tracking, useful recording, and solid outdoor performance without costing what some premium thermals cost. For coyote hunting, hog hunting, or general predator hunting at night, this is a scope I would feel confident using again. I may try the rangefinder version next time too. ... show more

  • GRS225 Thermal Rifle Scope GRS225 Thermal Rifle Scope
Style: 256-25
This thermal scope really deserves a five star rating. Set up is super simple. Image quality is very impressive. It not only has on-board video, photos but also connects to an app that the media can be saved or downloaded to a phone while in use. This is definitely the simplest to learn and operate digital scope I’ve ever used. I really like the PIP that can be moved to optional locations on the screen making it easier on eyes with bifocal glasses. It has way more features than you could ever expect especially at this price point. Very wide selection of color images palettes and reticle styles. I still haven’t decided on a favorite yet. During my setup and learning time battery life was never an issue and lasted much longer than expected. I never found a need to use the factory supplied backup battery This scope is considered by most reviews a budget entry level thermal scope but I think it works better than many and with so many extra features it should be moved up to the next level. ... show more

  • Shockingly good quality!
Style: 256-25
Wow, what a GREAT scope on a budget! Sight in was 1 and done as another reviewer stated. Simple set up, easy buttons and not overwhelming to learn. My husband is NOT tech savvy, he had no issues at all. Zero recoil issues on a .308. If you're not after showing a brand sticker the one time you're out using this, save a couple grand, this absolutely gets it done! ... show more

  • Good entry thermal.
Style: 256-25
The grs225 is a decent thermal scope at a more affordable price. The image is good. The setup is easy. I have this mounted onto a Howa Herra H7 in .308 win with heavy 22 inch barrel. Was seriously easy to zero. One shot to see where it his paper, one more to verify.

  • Best bang for your buck. Best bang for your buck.
Style: 256-25
Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is compared to many other thermal optics I’ve handled. It doesn’t feel cheap or fragile, but it’s light enough that carrying it for extended periods or mounting it on a rifle isn’t a burden. One of the biggest surprises was its daytime performance. I’ve used thermal optics before that were clearly designed with nighttime use in mind and became difficult to use during the day. The GRS225 was different. Even in full daylight, I was able to clearly locate and identify what I was looking at. The image remained detailed enough that I could confidently distinguish animals and other heat sources without issue. Most of my testing was done at night, and that’s where this optic really impressed me. One evening I spent roughly three hours observing a group of deer. I first spotted them several hundred yards away and was able to continuously watch them as they worked their way across the field and eventually approached my fence line at about 50 yards. Throughout the entire time, locating and tracking the animals was easy, and I never had trouble identifying what I was looking at. The different thermal color palettes were also useful during testing. Being able to switch between modes made it easier to pick out animals depending on the background and conditions. Battery life exceeded my expectations as well. During my testing, the battery lasted not only as long as GOYOJO advertised, but actually a little longer. When you’re spending long evenings in the field, that’s something you quickly learn to appreciate. The menu system is straightforward and easy to navigate. I was able to move through the settings, switch palettes, and make adjustments without spending much time learning the controls. Everything is laid out in a way that makes sense, which means less time digging through menus and more time actually using the optic. The photos included with this review show some of my experiences while testing the GRS225. The first image is a bird sitting in a tree approximately 250 yards away, taken around 9:30 in the morning. The second image shows a deer standing in my field at roughly 200 yards. I used that deer to test the different thermal palettes and compare how each mode displayed the same target. Overall, the GOYOJO GRS225 has proven to be a lightweight, easy-to-use thermal optic that performs well during both the day and night. Between the image quality, battery life, intuitive controls, and the ability to quickly locate and identify animals, it has been an enjoyable optic to use and one that I look forward to spending more time behind. ... show more

  • Quality for a good price
Style: 256-25
It works great for my application. We are over run with wild pigs. They were destroying our yard at night. Put it on a 22 mag and went to work. The resolution of the pigs are clear as day. I have looked through some of my friends high dollar thermals and I don't see the difference. My longest shot around the house is maybe 100 yards so I do not need see objects at 2000 yards. Easy to 0 and set up. ... show more

  • Great scope!
Style: 256-25RF
So far so good, very well made scope, easily id/shoot targets at 300 yards, can see wayyy further tho, I watched a group of deer walking at around 900 yards. Very good clarity and the ballistic corrections work very well on my pellet rifle once set up! I put plates of peanut butter out by the field and have been shooting field mice at 60 yards!! Battery life is plenty longfor my use, I usually only hunt for an hour or two and still have 3/4ths of battery left so I would think you could get a good 6-7 hours at least. Overall I am VERY happy with my purchase and would buy another ... show more
