I have a Germ Guardian Air Purifier for the sole purpose of the litter box in a closet in my living room. The purifier is directly outside of the door that's left ajar. I tried the pet filters when it was time to buy a new filter simply because I thought maybe it would be better or something. It actually performs worse! Changing the filter was easy as can be, as is cleaning it, seems to do a great job! I have it in my bedroom which is where my two dogs sleep (one being a husky/lab mix), a longhair cat hangs out, and my two sugar gliders cage is in there as well. Ive been using this filter for a year now until my filter said it was time to replace it. I would keep it on 24/7 in my room and it still lasted that long. Now that I got a replacement, I smell the difference, and am enjoying more. I would recommend to buy this one because I trust that it will keep the air clean, and ita working fine for me. I do not want to risk breathing in from an off brand filter that might not help remove smells as well as this one. Thankyou for your product, only thing I would ask for is for an additional charcoal filter to meet the price demand. In my opinion the price could be cheaper but still worth the buy. ... show more

My machine is the AC 4825. I’ve had it for 4 years now, always used this filter. But this time around I noticed that guardian tech has changed the design, and now it no longer fits my purifier correctly, so it won’t turn it on. The filter compartment has a little metal piece that pops up when the filter is removed and clicks down when filter is replaced. Love the quality of these filter brands but hate the cost. I replace two machines every 90 days, 4 kids 1 dogs and some cigars here and there. It cleans everything and catches more dust then one might think. Clearly the cigar in this post is where most would think the worst is but if you look at the filter and see all the thick dust this catches and black color spores the filter turns. I have 3 dogs so these are a must have in our house. I was happy to find that germ guardian made a filter specifically for pets and have been happy with these.
