    • hands down the best vacuum I've ever owned
I owned a Rainbow back in the 90s and absolutely loved it. This one may actually be even better. The E series design has an improved spout design that makes dumping the dirty water much easier. The suction is as powerful as I remember. I recently vacuumed using my Dyson, and while it did pick up a lot of surface dirt, it missed a ton of ground in dirt. It is unbelievable how much dirt I was able to remove from a supposedly clean carpet using my wonderful new Rainbow vacuum. I wish I would've thought to take pictures. The results were truly impressive. I guess I should comment on my first impression of the unit itself. The vacuum looked brand new right out of the box. Buying used items is always scary, but this has far and away eased my concerns. All attachments were included and in excellent condition. I will say, the lack of any owners manual is a bit disappointing. People new to this vacuum may be overwhelmed without it but I found it fairly easy to use since I've owned one in the past. One piece of advice, make sure all connections and latches are secure before you freak out about something not working. Also, DO NOT store the vacuum with water in the basin. Is this unit a little more work than a regular vacuum? YES. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. The power and versatility of this unit is unmatched by any garden variety vacuum.     • I wish there was a minus 5 on the star chart....
If the guy who refurbishes these vacuums would hook everything up and see if it works! That would be so helpful! 3 times I tried to get a vacuum and 3 times either the pipes wouldn't go together, or the vacuum didn't work to turn on. I am done.

    • Finally a good vacuum cleaner on budget
The vacuum cleaner arrived with a ding in the water holder. It was not enough to stop us from checking out the vacuum but it would not hold up forever. They replaced it immediately without any issues! The vacuum works well, is easy to handle and works as well as one would expect a Rainbow to work. I have no criticism, only praise not only for the unit, but for the company! And communication is beyond belief good! ... show more

Bought the Rainbow E-series vacuum and received it in good time. The product was complete, clean and works wonderful. The water basin was broke in half but we sent an e-mail to Great Vacs and within a week had a new one. The vacuum was shipped in good material but the basin was damaged during shipment . We recommend Great Vacs for standing by their products and offering a great vacuum for the money. Very satisfied. ... show more

DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED!! I knew I was purchasing a used item, but even then expected the item to be clean & fully functional at the time it arrived. That was not the case, from the time the item arrived there was no suction coming out of the hose. Upon closer inspection, I found the hose was impacted with hair and dirt and fuze it impeded any suction from the hose. I tried to remove the impacted gunk, but it is so deeply impacted, nothing I tried worked. I feel like the company I purchased the vacuum from. Should send me a new hose connection for free. If that doesn't work, I am sending the entire product back for a full REFUND. ... show more
