Description

The DT Systems SUPER-PRO Dummy Launcher uses .22 cal blank power loads to propel a retrieving dummy for dogs to retrieve. Perfect for land or water training, it is an excellent tool to help teach and reinforce the hunting situation by simulating the sound of a “BANG” with the “marking” of a bird (the dummy) in the sky. Great for long and short retrieves by adjusting the flight angle and the strength of the .22 caliber blank launching load. The launcher’s solid aluminum frame construction means no rust. The used shells are easy to extract thanks to the built-in shell extractor. Special design features result in very little recoil during launch.

The orange is hard for my dogs to track with green grass. I used the red loads, so it may be easier for them if I used the green ones and it doesn't take off as fast! I may also get a different color dummy to start them off with and work up to the orange one. This launcher is great for training! I zip-tied a dried wing and tail onto the dummy to mimic the feathery carry that dogs will experience in the hunting field. I haven't had any issues so far, and my pup loves chasing this thing down! Two words of advice: - Don't buy the "training loads", which are way over-priced. Go to the hardware store and buy #3 concrete hammer blanks and your wallet will be much happier. - Fire this launcher the exact way that the instructions describe. It seems odd the first few shots, but after a good round of training, your hands will thank you. The correct way to fire this is to grip the launcher with the "business end" sticking out from the butt of your hand, not between your thumb and forefinger like you would think. When you grip it the correct way, all of the recoil and shock is dispersed through insensitive fatty muscle, instead of into your finger and thumb bones. It really does make a difference after firing numerous rounds in a training session! ... show more

Read the manel. It can hurt you bad. Not using it for dogs. It has high recoil. And firing pin will pinch your hand if its held wrong. It goes far and is heavy so don't piss off anybody.

Great training tool, my dog loves it. I shot the heavy loads about 5 times and broke the firing pin on the first one, exchanged it for a new one and haven't had any issues (50+ rounds later). Heavy loads kick the thing around 100+ yards (the first one I launched went into the woods because I wasn't expecting it to go that far) so keep that in mind. I would definitely recommend it for any dog that likes to retrieve! I also recommend hearing protection! ... show more

Great for Training my dog to track the bird! Loud .22 shot fires the dummy far! I would not use this in a city or residential hood. Works great for me I have not had any misfires or issues, works great with my Hilti Remington .22 loads!!! cci are good to but I have tons of .22 blanks from work:) I have recorded and photo'd my dog Wyatt braquefrancaiswyatt @ Instagram using this product if you would like to follow or view... I would recommend this training too for your hunting dog! ... show more

I was so happy to get this for my pup but the 2nd shot blew out the first O-Ring... We have shot just about a pack of shells thru it and out of those it has actually only launched about 10 times... It may get 2 or 3 shots off before blowing out the O-ring. I have contacted the company and it has a warranty on it for a year so I am sending it back for a replacement gun because this should not be happening. As far as the launcher itself its great for dogs to get some running done and for them to get used to the sound of a gun for waterfowl season. ... show more
