I use short hoses like this for targeted jobs around the yard rather than as my main all-purpose garden hose. For that role, a compact stainless hose makes a lot of sense. The benefits were obvious on first use. It is more pliant than a typical cheap rubber or vinyl hose, less prone to collapsing, slides around obstacles better, and is much less annoying when you are moving quickly around planters or outdoor furniture. PACKAGING/CONTENTS: * In the box you get the 15-foot hose, rubber washers, and a small roll of PTFE tape. * The hose itself is compact and easy to stash when not in use, which is one of the main advantages of going with a shorter length. EASE OF USE: * Very straightforward. Hook it up, make sure the washer is seated properly on the female end, and you are good to go. * I did not find the PTFE tape necessary for my setup, but the included washers definitely are. * Another nice feature is that you can daisy-chain a few hoses like this for modular length, which gives you some flexibility if your watering needs change. QUALITY/FIT/FINISH: * The stainless outer shell is the star here. It feels durable, moves smoothly, and does not snag as easily as a traditional hose. * The brass fittings feel solid, and the black plastic collars add a little grip without making the ends bulky. PERFORMANCE: * The big advantage is handling. This style of hose is less kink-prone and easier to drag around without constantly stopping to unknot or untwist it. * The main tradeoff is water flow. The inner diameter is smaller than a lot of conventional garden hoses, so there is more resistance and somewhat less volume coming through. * For everyday light-duty watering and rinse-off tasks, that tradeoff is acceptable to me. DURABILITY: * Based on materials and construction, this looks like it should hold up well outdoors. * The metal outer layer should resist abrasion better than many basic hoses, and the fittings do not feel cheap. * Long term, the washers will probably be the first wear item, which is pretty normal. Good think you get extras. VALUE: * At $23.99, I think this is slightly overpriced for a 15-foot hose, especially since longer versions in this category are often not much more. * That said, the stainless design does offer real usability advantages, so I would not call it a bad buy. PRO TIPS: * Make sure the female-end washer is installed before first use or you may get a drip at the connection. * This is a nice option for patios, raised beds, spot watering, washdown tasks, or anywhere a full-size hose feels like overkill. OVERALL: BUY. Slightly expensive for the length, but the stainless construction and easy handling make it a meaningful upgrade in daily use. I would buy it again.

Latest update: Contrary to my prior review, this hose is not going to work for my sort of usage/s that I describe below. I used this hose the other day and it got totally caked in mud. I rinsed the hose off but the steel coils trap mud and I am not sure if the mud did not seep into the various layers of this hose. I am also worried the steel coiling might crimp if crushed while using it. I still give this hose a 5 rating because I like the portability, no kinks, and easy to coil and store features. I think this hose would be great for an urban type of user on tar or cement drives or nice lawns. I will have to get a similar style hose that is just smooth rubber or some new hybrid flexible rubber material. If I can find a hose that could coil easily and stores in a very small coil like this one, I will be thrilled because my old thick rubber hoses I have been are not suitable for some of the chores I intend to be doing. Original Review: This 15-foot garden hose is perfect for the application I am using it for. Every now and then, I need a hose to spray off mud, snow, ice and other debris off equipment, trucks, tractors, etc. in my country yard. In order to move my water spraying apparatus to the different locations in my yard, I take a sump/utility pump I have and throw it in a 30-gallon trash can with a hose and load it in my 4x4 truck bed along with my little invertor generator. I fill the trash can/s with water (sometimes multiple cans for more water depending on the job) and then can drive the portable water sprayer set up anywhere it needs to be used. The hose I have been using with my mobile water spraying rigging is a thick, large diameter, rubber garden hose that I made from some of my long reels of garden hose that I use for various projects. This thick hose is not very flexible and not easy to manipulate for spraying items. In contrast, this flexible and light 15FT Stainless Garden Hose is a lot more ergonomic to handle than my homemade section of heavy-duty rubber garden hose. I cannot even coil the thick rubber hose, so I make big approximately 4' loops and it takes up a lot of storage space. In contrast, this 15FT stainless steel-clad hose is extremely easy to coil up and make into a very small coil to store or just leave in the truck. Comparing using the two different hoses for this type of job and storing it afterwards is definitely apples and oranges. I read the directions about this hose swelling longer up to three times etc. but I was just mainly interested in having a hose that could be handled easily, hook and unhook to my pump without any hassle, and store in a small space, and this 15FT hose checks all the boxes! I will also use the Teflon tape included with this hose for another use. The hose being able to stretch and the Teflon tape were nice extras though! This 15FT Stainless Steel-Clad Hose is a keeper and it will make dealing with "life's problems" common to working out in the country where I live a lot less aggravating. Considering that in the next month or so, where I live will transform into "Mudville", the timing for me getting this handy little 15FT Garden Hose came just at the right time. I recommend this hose and think it is worth the price for the convenience it offers. This hose is small in diameter versus my big rubber garden hose, so this thinner 15 FT hose moves water at a higher velocity instead of large volume which makes it great for spraying equipment, trucks, tractors, trailers etc. off. I did not even use a spray head and the 15FT Stainless clad hose streamed water out just super for getting mud off a tractor tire and rim during one of my recent repair escapades. We are headed into mud season here and this hose will be seeing a lot of use. I feel a lot better now that I have my invertor generator hooked to a nice new utility pump and this hose. This is a very handy and useful set up.

Winter was coming, and now winter has passed, with serious cacti still lingering in our mini-greenhouse. During winter, another short hose received a fatal piercing. And now, Sir Stainless Steel (From Conchhouse) arrives, a bit late for the winter housing, but ready to joust with the thorny bands who still hold territory in our greenhouse. An introduction shows that the ID (inside diameter) of the hose connector is slightly less than a 3/8” drill bit can enter. The listing stats say the inner tube is a 3/8” diameter. That is actually a commendable disclosure! Many here do not disclose the limitations of their hose to carry water, but only quote the 3/4” connector. That’s horribly misleading when the ID of the hose connector is about 1/2” or less. That’s a huge difference in water carrying capacity. This is also great in that the fittings themselves are unlike any I have ever seen in 4 decades of hose buying. A photo attempt to show that uniqueness. More on that uniqueness. From the listing, in two points. This is a quote, called a “Friendly Reminder” on the Amazon page today: “Friendly Reminder
. 1. Do not close the nozzle when the hose is fully extended for use, to avoid hose damage caused by excessive water pressure.
2. Empty the water inside the hose in a timely manner when not in use, to extend its service life.” Summary. 1. While the water is running with substantial flow, do not suddenly shut off the output at the end of the hose. (Don’t slam on the brakes, when the inertia is high.) 2. For maximum hose life, drain the hose when not in use. They also include three spare washers and plumbing tape to use when attaching the hose to hose bibs, and when attaching a sprayer to the hose output end. It’s a 4 star review, 5 star if it is as durable as it might be. I’ve had some trouble with inner tube soaker hoses, so I have some doubts. Or, if Conchhouse had a track record of great reviews, I’d be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt. Not having that record, I’ll rate the 4 star. I picked up this 15‑foot Conchouse stainless steel hose for quick sprayer work around the property, and it’s been a surprisingly solid upgrade. The brass 3/4" fittings thread cleanly onto my garden sprayer, pump sprayer, and even the inlet on my Simpson pressure washer with zero leaks. This is a really cool hose. It reminds me of when I used to wash dishes in a restaurant. It expands when you use it and returns to its original size when you turn the water off. My favorite part is that it doesn’t tangle. The kit will include new rubber washers and a roll of Teflon tape to ensure you have no leaks. It is not recommended to drink from but I think we’ve all stopped doing that anyway. It’s far more durable than I expected.

I ordered this to run from our outdoor spigot into my new potting shed. We talked about plumbing it separately, but the spigot is close and it seemed an unnecessary expense when this hose would do the job. This hose looks so pretty that I don't mind it hanging on the outside on the shed wall when it's not in use. The length is perfectly suited for the distance I need and the light weight and flexibility is a real plus. I love the flexibility of this hose. I expected it to be much more stiff than this, but the word that keeps coming to mind to describe it is "slinky" and it does kind of move like the children's toy of the same name. And I would never have guessed that a stainless steel hose could be lightweight, but it is. Because it's stainless steel, it also feels super durable to me. I love a good rubber hose for longevity, but they're a chore to drag around since they're so heavy. It seems to me that it will be well equipped to handle almost any stress except running over it and our driveway isn't close enough for that kind of accident to happen. This hose was much better quality than I was expecting. I probably wouldn't have taken a chance on this if I'd had to pay full price for it because I was skeptical of the quality. Especially since the price was really good. But it really is a great hose at a great price.

This 15 ft. stainless steel hose by Conchouse is such an improvement over plastic or rubber hoses. It does kink or tangle like other hoses. It's great for watering the garden, washing your car or hosing off the driveway. It has an industrial-grade solid brass fittings, so it won't leak. There are extra washers and Teflon tape included to help seal threaded connections. The diameter of the hose is a little smaller than most plastic or rubber hoses, so you will get a little more pressure out of the hose.
