I was pleasantly surprised by this hose so far. I've used it once and while it isn't my first expandable hose, it is the first with a rubber exterior. I was amazed at how lightweight it was when I lifted the box and how quickly it both expanded and retracted with use. I pray it stands up as I do need to leave it out and on the pavement in my yard -- I envision buying additional ones if this one keeps working like this! ... show more

This hose is significantly more expensive than others of comparable features and length, but I purchased it anyway since the incremental benefits appeared worth it. On delivery I was initially thrilled as this hose does not fail to delivery on its promise of being extraordinarily lightweight and compact. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill from there. I have good water pressure and a 1.25" water service, but found that the hose could not maintain its expanded length when using the included sprayer, resulting in the hose partially shrinking back to its non-pressurized length and pulling me back toward the faucet when squeezing the sprayer handled. This was a minor inconvenience I was willing to overlook since I highly valued its combined size, weight, and flow characteristics. Unfortunately, after using the hose three times for a grand total of 15 minutes, it formed the large bubble shown in the attached photo and I could hear the outer layer continue to delaminate as the bubble grew larger. I immediately shut off the water since it appeared the hose would burst if I left the water on much longer. My water pressure typically fluctuates between 80 and 90 PSI, which is well under the maximum operating pressure of 12 Bars (174 PSI) listed for this product. Was this an anomaly? ...hopefully, but it does raise serious questions about durability and quality control. Thankfully all this happened within the Amazon return period, so I was able to simply return the product and avoid the hassle of getting it replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. ... show more

    • Not an Ordinary Garden Hose
The hose was questionable at first glance. I was turned off originally, because the diameter of the hose was much thinner than previous hoses I have owned. However, I do like the nice outer thick rubber coating on the hose. It does not kink up when unraveling. I noticed from other hoses, that when the hose fills with water, the length dramatically decreases. Not so with this hose. A slight shrinkage in the hose but barely noticeable and it does not effect the water flow. It’s nice that it comes with a nozzle that all functions work. It also comes with hose washers that fit the hose. I gave it four stars solely because of the thickness of the hose. I’m just skeptical that it will stand. It appears that it will last and hold up, but I’m just one of those guys that wants to make a fair review. I would recommend it to my family and friends. ... show more

    • Looks Weird
This hose is odd looking. And feels strange. I almost just automatically returned it. But! I really needed a hose so, I decided to try it first. First of all it's super light weight, which I love. It came with a rack that pops right over the spigot. I set it up easy breezy! It didn't tangle or kink at all as I unrolled it and dragged it over my boat and all around the dock. My only concern is the rubber is very soft and the fittings aren't brass. We'll see how it holds up in a marine environment. ... show more

    • Update: Hose Popped In Just Six Weeks
Update: The hose only lasted six weeks. It popped like a balloon. However, I was happy to throw it in the garbage where it belongs. I’m not sure I can put into words how much I dislike this hose. I have been using it for a month and it hasn’t started leaking which is the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one. However, the rubber coating has separated in several areas, exposing the mesh interior. Because the exterior is rubber, it tends to knot up, making it hard to maneuver around the yard. And the sound of rubber on rubber when you are trying to unknot it is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Don’t be enticed by the lifetime warranty because you will not want to use this hose for a lifetime. I’ll use it until it starts leaking, but then I will go back to the fabric-type hose. ... show more

    • Love hate relationship..,
I’ve used this hose for a few months now and I’ve grown to hate it… Yes, the material is rubber so it doesn’t snag on rocks and sharp objects it runs over on the ground. But, it is sticky and sticks to itself and everything else. I use it in the backyard where we have river rock and it gets my hands filthy when I reel it up to put it away. It’s heavy and cumbersome. I’m going back to the lightweight fabric-covered hose that shrinks up and is easy to reel in and put away even if they aren’t long-lived hoses. ... show more

    • A lot to be desired - Great Support
The hose gets very hot, its like a rubber material. Be sure to store it in shady area. Hands get a little dirty when using it as well. Plus it started leaking from the nozzle sleeve within one month when set to shut off water. UPDATE: Contacted company and they were very responsive and sent me a new hose. They claim a lifetime warranty, so that in itself is amazing and we will see. ... show more
