I am sooooo happy. For the last few years I have ordered the hoses that stretch out when water goes through them. I guess I am hard on them because they always spring leaks, they also leak around the outside faucet ( That could be because I don't have strength to tighten it tight enough.) That being said, This didn't leak which made the spray from the sprinkler stronger, which ment I didn't have the move the hose as much. In the past I always order a 100 ft length, so I ordered that with this hose, I could have easily gotten away ordering a 75. I also appreciated that since it didn't strink, it didn't knock any of my pot down or knock off flowering blooms. At first I wasn't sure to do with all the extra hose, but I took a large pot and wound the hose in it so that I could pull out what I needed. Yes, I did turn the hose while part was still in the pot and it works beautifully.

This has to be a preliminary review because the true measure of a hose is whether it will hold up and not leak over time. Since this is being written in winter a follow up review will be added to this one as soon as some actual hosing is possible when the weather breaks. However, out of the box, as hoses go, this has great promise. The first thing you notice is that for a coiled up 30ft hose this is very light. The hose is narrower than what you would expect from a water hose this long as well. On one end of the hose is a brass hose to faucet connector assembly and on the other end something I have never seen on a hose. There is a brass shut off valve assembly that has a threaded end onto which you attach the spray nozzle !! Unusual. This shut off valve assembly is heavy in weight (brass) so it is unclear how that will play into the spray nozzle once attached and your dropping it to the ground as we often do when using a garden hose. Speaking of spray nozzles, the hose also includes a ten function spray nozzle that has an outer ring that you click to the settings you prefer. The spray nozzle also has a spray adjuster for your thumb in lieu of a lever that you would find on many other spray nozzles. You can push this forward to reduce water flow and pull it downward to increase with your thumb. Not sure how this would compare to a typical lever nozzle until I get a chance to try in action. It would seem that simply releasing the lever on a typical spray nozzle would be less complicated than this thumb operated spray adjuster. The entire package also includes three spare rubber washers as another bonus with the hose to replace any that wear out in the spray nozzle connection to the hose AND a small spool of teflon tape to help with the connection at the other end to your water faucet, intended to help keep leaks to a minimum. Finally, this hose has a hook and loop adjustable band that has a rubber handle. The idea is to wrap this around one section of coiled hose, attach the hook and loop ends together, grab the handle and carry the hose to you storage place. Spring can't get here soon enough !!

I am very short, have a bad shoulder, and am admittedly a bit lazy. Dragging a hose around my yard is NOT my idea of fun. Most garden hoses leave me feeling like I've gone a few rounds with a boxer because they're so unwieldy and I'm sure I look like a dork hauling it behind me (it probably doesn't help when I'm cursing at it). I LOVE THIS HOSE). It's the dead of winter with a ton of snow on the ground so I can't put it to the test yet unfortunately, but I want to, I really do. This is lightweight and I am thrilled it comes with a super handy (hah) wrap complete with handle that makes it super compact. I ran out of bananas so please accept a Hot Wheels car for scale. No more feeling like I've gone 10 rounds with a boxer dragging this behind me! It takes next to no effort to carry this and I guarantee it'll take little effort to haul this around even with water coming through it. It does some with a sprayer that feels pretty generic and I'm not sure if I'll use it or if I'll stick with the one I already have. I'll give it a try either way since it came with it. The material feels pretty durable at first glance and I'm optimistic it'll hold up well. Even if I can't get the bundle as tight as it came packaged, I'm thrilled it's not as bulky as a regular hose. Absolutely a vast improvement over traditional ones and if this works as well as I'm hoping this spring I'm getting several so I can have ones for my front, back, and side yards.
