πŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The pump is widely commended for its performance in various scenarios ranging from draining HVAC drain pans to water out of horse troughs to kiddie pools. Despite its size, the pump has successfully tackled all tasks and was able to take a garden hose to pump water. However, the pump seems to be designed more for pipes than hoses, lacks an on/off switch, and seems to be fragile due to its plastic housing. It doesn't function well with aquarium plants and lacks an auto turnoff feature. Besides that, it lasts decently against regular usage, lasting 2.5 seasons before failing.

Pros

  • πŸ‘ Works excellently for various draining purposes
  • πŸ‘ Size is compact but does not hinder performance
  • πŸ‘ Affordable price point
  • πŸ‘ Can be connected to a garden hose for water pumping
  • πŸ‘ Noise level is generally low especially considering its performance

Cons

  • πŸ‘Ž May not function well with aquarium plants and has weak suction cups
  • πŸ‘Ž Lacks auto turnoff feature, causing possible inconvenience
  • πŸ‘Ž Appears to be delicate due to a plastic housing with no protective elements
  • πŸ‘Ž No dedicated on/off switch, requires additional purchase
  • πŸ‘Ž Longevity could potentially be an issue

Should I Buy It?

If you need a versatile yet affordable pump for various draining tasks, this product would likely serve you well. However, keep in mind the potential shortcomings, such as the absence of an on/off switch, an auto turnoff feature, and possible longevity issues. Weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

  • WOW! This little guy handled a BIG JOB!
Pattern Name: 60W/845GPH
So I live in Texas. About 2 weeks ago, mid-February 2021, we had the worst winter I have seen in my 49 years. For my friends up north, a typical heavy snow and cold week. But nothing in Texas is prepared for 8" of snow, 5 days with temps in the single digits to teens and wind chills below zero. We don't even have clothing for such an occasion. It's usually between 58-75 this time of year. We hadn't even seen a real snow in 5 or 6 years. It is rare, normally 1.5" and typically lasts a day or two at 25 to 30 degrees. Half the state lost power, including myself, for 4 days straight. Pipes froze, busted, and flooded homes, car pile ups in the city, some people literally froze to death and some are still picking up the pieces. I'm one of the latter. Our septic system froze and I still haven't gotten it going. It is a 4 tank 2000 gallon system, Aerobic System. The pump is out, no plumbers are available and the local supply of plumbing parts has been decimated. Our system was full, from flushing water lines, not realizing it was not on and filling up. I needed a sub pump to empty the system from the gray water tank. (for those that don't know, this is chlorine treated waste water, no solids but there is small sediment.) There were no dirty water pumps to be found and they were $160 dollars at the low end. I searched AMAZON as a shot in the dark, hoping a Prime item could get here quickly. I gave this little $20 pump a shot. It ran like a champ, pumping out the system over several hours. It still works perfectly. I'm using it to keep my household operating, until a plumber can get to me and get a new pump ordered. You'll see in the picture I zip tied a piece of mesh tightly to the bottom, just in case anything substantial was in that water. I connected a cable to the handle to pull it up. I sent it down to where I had no idea what was below and it just keeps pumping! Whenever I need to clear the system after laundry, dishes or baths, I just plug it in. It is still sitting down in the abyss. It has saved us, because there are no close-by laundry mats or bathrooms to run to in rural America. This Little Green Machine is doing the job of pumps 5X its size and 10X it's price range, effortlessly. I don't know how long it will last, but a week would be worth the money and we are starting week 2. Get yourself one! ... show more

  • Not dependable
Pattern Name: 25W/330GPH
Suction cups on feet come off easily and pump plugs up easy, we set it up of the bottom but it didn’t help. Ok in a pinch but constantly have to check so fish don’t die.

  • Reliable Pump with a Few Hiccups
Pattern Name: 100W/1100GPH
I recently purchased the FREESEA 1100 GPH Submersible Water Pump for my backyard pond, and overall, it does a decent job. The intelligent dry heating protection is a standout feature, ensuring the pump's safety by preventing dry running. This added layer of protection gives me peace of mind, especially during the scorching summer days when water levels can fluctuate. The low water level design is a game-changer, allowing the pump to efficiently operate even when the water is as low as 0.2 inches. The dimensions and power cord length are suitable for my setup, and the max flow rate of 1100GPH is impressive. The ultra-quiet design lives up to its promise, providing a serene environment for my aquatic friends. However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience. The motor occasionally struggled to restart after the dry heating protection kicked in. While the 12-month warranty is reassuring, this hiccup left me a bit wary. Despite this, the pump has proven reliable for the most part, and the customer service team was prompt and helpful in addressing my concerns. Overall, a solid choice for those seeking a versatile and efficient water pump with a few considerations in mind. 3 out of 5 stars. ... show more

  • needed hot soapy water to remove that lubricant
Pattern Name: 12W/160GPH
I needed a pump on a 1/2" hose to replace the 1" syphon hose I had been using, it emptied the tank too fast . I knew the pump was small, but the measurements in the description are too big, almost 2", the box isn't that big. The size with the picture is accurate. Out of the box, just like the video, it will pump water about 18" high, put a 1/2" hose on it and I got at least 3 1/2'. It seemed the pump was perfect for the job as I was sucking up the mess very nicely at a slower pace without draining so much water before I had even really gotten started. When I first started , I noticed little patches of oil floating by and after 10 minutes it was all over so I turned the pump upside down and took it off the surface from underneath a bit at a time. then I took the bottom off the pump and found the lubricant. Typically, a pump like this will have a big magnet with a round hole in it and a round metal stator with a shaft that goes through it, and spins around inside the magnet, the shaft has little plastic caps that fit on the ends and they fit into a couple places at each end keeping it centered and it spins freely, the top has the impeller on it and then the plastic cap, this pump doesn't have a cap on top of the stator, there is a spring underneath the stator pushing the impeller up flush against the the bottom part of the pump and this is where that greasy lubricant goes, I doubt running in another tank will do any good, if you aren't pumping the water out of the tank you are just cycling the greasy water, I used my home depot 5 gal bucket, emptying it 6 times and still got an oil slick on my tank. After I removed the lubricant, the pump no longer has the same output, time to time spend more for a better one. ... show more
