It is not kink free, it kinked immediately. The hose is very flimsy and not durable at all! I went to the local Home improvement store and paid $6 more and got a much better one.

got rid of the green monster hose ive had fr years & wanted something that was more flexible. this appeared to fit the bill & it did. flexible but strong enough to drag around the yard. good brass fittings at each end give a tight seal. no leaks so far. will see how this holds up & performs over the season & if there are any issues that show up I will update this, otherwise I do recommend it. 25 feet of maneuverable hose for less than $25. good deal.

Hose and fittings look durable but I found them hard to use. The vinyl shields on the hose make it difficult to loosen or tighten the brass connectors. There is no shut-off on the hose either. The small diameter limits the flow of water so it could not be used to sprinkle a large area. The hose would work well for washing vehicles, soaker hose, or hand watering flowers. It is light and easy to handle. My experience with the nylon type of covering on hoses is that they tend to snag, but I can't say if that would bother with this hose or not since I'm waiting for warmer weather to use it.

These hoses are plastic tubing wrapped in some nylon webbing. As such, they are not very flexible like a normal rubber or silicon hose. This construction does help prevent kinking, but makes them difficult to work with. They would probably be fine for setting up sprinklers or drip irrigation or something similar where not a lot of movement is needed. Not sure on durability yet as I just received them a week or so ago.

This hose is light and fairly compact as compared to a standard hose which will make it convenient to take with me when I may need a hose away from home. The ends seem solid and it does not leak. Time will tell if the hose will stand up to dragging around on the ground but so far it seems durable and up to the task.

I have moved away from the standard rubber garden hoses to the expanding ones because they are so much lighter and easier to manage. Unfortunately, they don't last more than a couple of seasons. This hose is a light and maneuverable as the flexible ones but it feels more durable. I expect it to last for many seasons. I also like the casing which isn't cloth like the flexible hoses so it doesn't snag on the concrete driveway. It still winds up into the heavy flower pot I bought for the old hose so its not laying loose on the ground and doesn't need a hose reel. I am very satisfied with this hose and will be replacing my expanding hoses with these when the expanding ones burst. The fittings are all brass and heavy duty. It doesn't kink up like many hoses do. I am completely satisfied with it.
