I put this on the patio, and the heat gets trapped under the large umbrella nearby, (not close to the heating unit) and everyone is comfortable. The weather hasn't been too cold, so have only used it on a cool fall day. It was only on low, so I imagine it should do fine when it gets colder. There was tiny leak in the hose where it connected to the valve, but customer service was quick to give me solutions. When they did not work, they send out a replacement pretty quickly. Though the replacement color wasn't correct, it was all neutral colors, so I just decided to keep it. It's a heat lamp, not like anyone's going to be examining it. Installation is pretty easy but takes a bit of time. Looks great and is sturdy. Easy to turn on/off and adjust heat. Have used it a couple of times now. Heats up the area well. Works best when you are within 5 feet of it or so. We use it on our deck.

You have to press the button for more than 5 minutes before the fire becomes stable. Otherwise when you let go of the button the flame dies.

Received this heater in good time. No damage to package or parts inside. I was able to put it together myself easily and didn't run into any problems at all! Looks great on our patio and works great! Happy with this purchase so far.
