  • Solid Cage for a Couple of Rats
Style: Ferret Tower Two-Story Ferret Cage
I bought this cage for my four rats when Amazon had marked it down to about $90 or so, and I've been pretty pleased about it. Not sure if I would be as pleased if I bought it for the original price. Personally the cage was not that hard to assemble - noisy and a bit hard to fanagle some bits, sure, but not impossibly confusing like some of the other reviews suggest. The picture instructions do actually show which end piece slides into the wire panels on the top and bottom levels (and one level is actually wrapped separately) so if you pay attention and don't just open everything at once you shouldn't have any problems. I am 5'6'' and quite a petite person and the only part I needed help with was putting the top layer on the bottom layer once I had both assembled. Based on other reviews, I didn't use the free-floating tube on the second story, so I just put some of the tube pieces together to form hides to go in the bedding and my boys like it just fine. All of the other cage accessories work well and I am honestly impressed with how well the water bottle has held up, since it hasn't leaked at all. Cleaning is difficult, and because of how the doors on this cage work I wouldn't recommend this particular cage if you're not very flexible and/or you're not comfortable completely taking it apart to clean it. I can manage cleaning it without deconstructing it but it requires me fitting like half of my torso through the doors to reach in and clean the bedding out and rearrange toys and hides in the very back. ... show more

  • great spacious cage! But missing a few peices...
Style: Ferret Tower Two-Story Ferret Cage
I love this cage! I previously had a kaytee ferret cage for two ferrets but there wasn't much play space because the floor was small. This cage is great, alot of floor space so my ferrets can actually rough around and play (theres even room for another one, yay!). A few people are saying that you can't put hammocks on the bottom level but you can if you get cat hammocks instead of ones made for ferrets. The instructions are NOT clear though, me and my sister had to disassemble it twice before we got it right. I was also missing the chains for the hanging tunnel and the whole straight piece for the tunnel aswell. I made it work but it was a bit frustrating... but I really can't complain because I got it for less than $100 on sale! It's great for the little stinkers and I do recommend it. Make sure you have enough space for it though! I'm pretty tall and I still need a chair or step stool to reach the the door on the very top of the cage🤷🏼♀️ ... show more

  • It can be SOOOO easy!!!
Style: Ferret Tower Two-Story Ferret Cage
So I've been looking for the largest cage possible for my rat babies I have 8. I've been looking at this one for awhile but the reviews scared me. Then it went on sale for $87.00 and I was like I don't care I'm buying it. My husband and I actually used to work as furniture assemblers for all sorts of different brands and companies. So I have tips guys, and it will really only take you an hour if you follow them. First lay out all your supplies in nice piles. Second spend 5 or 10 minutes just looking at the picture on the front of the instructions, get an idea how the cage looks, look at the little details. Third pay attention to the metal sides BEFORE you remove the plastic and keep them separate if you look closely you'll see one set is slightly bigger then the other. BIGGER bars with BIGGER frame pieces. The bigger goes on top. If you make sure to do this everything will just slide into place, no need to take chunks out of your hands people. Pro tip if you want to add any stuff like we did it's going to be most easy with the top off so arrange your stuff first like I show in the pictures then finish assembly. When you get to the frustrating CLICK instructions just look for the same piece that's already installed on the top of the cage because there are some pre placed ones and you'll understand how it works. I believe in you! If you like the looks of this cage go for it! Also we have two groups of rats we're working on merging so I'm actually putting them side by side and just threw some hardware clothe on top the bottom half with zip ties and ta da two huge rat cages. ... show more
