Top Amazon Reviews

  • Great quiet work out! Very discreet when in storage mode.
First off...it is amazingly quiet!!! A lot of the reviews say that, but when you get on this bicycle, you realize just how quiet it is, to the point you think something isn't working. I just finished my first workout on this bicycle, after receiving it last night, so I'll share my thoughts. Packaging The box wasn't overly large, and easy enough to handle because of the straps. Everything inside was pretty secure with styrofoam or tape, nothing was damaged. A good balance between packaging and overly packaging with too much waste. Assembly My only gripe with the assembly was the peculiar wording in the manual. There were several things that repeated a few times and makes you scratch your head. There was also some ambiguity about connecting the tension cable, that if you were going off words alone, it would be confusing. Attaching the feet, the seat post, and the seat were very easy. If you've ever assembled Ikea stuff, this is 100times easier. The console assembly was the part that was only slightly tricky. There is an electrical connection to make, easy enough as there is only one. The tension cable which I mentioned, takes a bit of fiddling, and you have to move the console itself up and down to give you enough slack to attach. There's also some ambiguity about when to move the cable holder clip. If you read the trouble shooting page, there are some better photos to see exactly what to do. Also, my console at first wasn't reading pedal movements, so I unclipped, and reclipped the electrical connection to solve the problem. Becareful installing the pedals because of the reverse thread. I believe any other pedal would work, but the pedals they supply are quite nice! The seat is very large. Very padded. It's pretty comfortable, although if you're a performance cyclist, it is probably not your thing...then again you'd probably be on a stationary bicycle and not an upright. Storage The fold up is really quick, and it's easy to move around. You're not going to want to roll it over rugs and what not, it'll get caught, but moving it from a corner, to the middle of the room works well. It's actually quite compact. Fitment I'm 6'2, 180lbs. It fits me quite nice and there's a lot of room to spare on either end of the spectrum. I could pull the post out a few more notches and push down a few more too. The seat installation also gives you two options of forwards or rearwards, this is with bolts, and the manual recommends 5'6 or under to go for the forward bolts. Usage As I said before, it is amazingly quiet!! There are 8 levels. 1 is very light, I suspect no resistance. 8 is quite hard, although not as hard as I've seen on a gym bike. It's completely sufficient for a tough work out though. I was mostly on 5/6, and just varying my speed to increase workout. The heart pulse monitor picks me up quickly. I've had issues at gyms with the pulse monitor not registering me, but this one registered me very quickly. The console works nice, it doesn't let you change miles/km for the ODO (who cares), and doesn't let you set age and weight for the calories (would have been nice) but it does work nicely as a timer and gives you an idea of how hard you are pushing yourself. The ergonomics of the machine are really nice, very low impact on my knees, nice padded seat. It is definitely quick and easy enough to move, setup, and get going for an early morning exercise that will make you sweat. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable standup bicycle! The price is pretty good, although the old one now has a nice discount, but due to my height, and the increased strength of this model, I thought this made more sense. A few people said they preferred the old silver model, but this one is actually a pretty neutral greyish brown, and doesn't draw that much attention to itself when it's tucked away in the corner. There's a nifty little phone holder in the front as well so you can listen to music or whatever. A cup holder would have been great, but I guess that's how times have changed! Personally, I prefer watching television anyway, and because of how quiet this bike is, that's not a problem at all. Good luck with your work outs, and remember, consistency is key!! Keep at it ... show more

  • Effective & Durable
Overview: I literally never come to write reviews for any product I buy on Amazon, but this bike warranted taking the time to share my experience. I need to lose about 150 pounds to be a healthy weight, and so I bought this bike because I liked the price point and simple design---didn't want a fancy stationary bike because I wasn't sure that I'd be good at discipline. I've been using mine since 1/1/2021, and in conjunction with thoughtful eating (not restrictive, but just more consideration to caloric intake), I've lost 23 pounds in 1 month. All I've been doing is using this bike for 30 minutes per day, at a moderate speed, with the resistance set to 3. My normal routine that I've found works wonders is to hop on the bike immediately when I get home from work, and use the time to either scroll through social media, watch some news, or even catch a show on Netflix while pedaling away. I'd say the first week I had a bit of fatigue and it was hard to muster the motivation to do it, but by the end of the fourth week, I crave that 30 minutes on my bike and use it as a way to decompress after a long day at work. Sometimes I've found that doing a bit of yoga after also helps my body relax and soothes my muscles a bit---something to consider. Assembly: I only messed up one time when assembling and that was accidentally reversing the stabilizing legs. Once I realized my mistake, it wasn't hard to undo and fix. I would say the most challenging part was figuring out how to attach the resistance cord on the back of the display section, which took me about 15 minutes to figure out. Overall, it took me (32 y/o woman on my own) a total of 45 minutes to fully assemble. It would go even faster if you have two people working on it. The instructions look more intimidating than it actually is---just take your time and set out your parts ahead of time and it will be a cake walk. Pros: Quiet, space saver (outstanding feature), extremely durable thus far, high weight capacity, effective work out without being overly exhausting---it's all about what kind of effort you can/want to put in. Cons: I wish they had a better place to put a phone or tablet. The location on the bike it currently sits at is entirely useless for watching anything on your phone. It's convenient if you want to simply store your phone there when you ride, but I like to distract myself by watching something. The only way I can do that is to stream to my TV or set up my laptop on a nearby table. It would be cool if the manufacturer moved the phone storage portion and just extended the digital screen portion with a silicone mat to simply rest your phone on. All in all: To be frank, I am stunned at the success! I truly don't feel like I've changed my life too much, and only incorporated a very MILD self-discipline. This is so huge for me, because I'm not usually able to maintain this level of consistency when focusing on my weight. I think that's because in the past I've opted for more extreme dieting, or really rigorous work outs that weren't fun and disincentivized me in maintaining/continuing them. Not this bike! Low impact and can be as mild as you make it. The best advice I received when I started my journey last month when trying to lose a large amount of weight was to only do what felt good in the moment, and stop when you don't feel so good---especially in the beginning. If you kill yourself trying to do more than you are physically capable of, you won't be inclined to hop back on the bike the next day. If you can only pedal 5 minutes, only pedal 5 minutes to start. ... show more
