I have a Kabota TLB backhoe with the excavator quick detach. I also have an older Kabota non-detachable 12” bucket that I’ve wanted to be able to use on my new one, but of course it is a different connection. The various buckets are so expensive that I was going to have to rent a 12” bucket rather than buy one just for a particular job. New 12” buckets go from $1100 to over $2000. This saved me a bundle! This weld-on quick attachment is the perfect solution for me since I have an older bucket, in excellent condition, that can be retrofitted to fit this. I have not done the welds yet, but the ears fit good on the pivot points. They aren’t perfect, but good. There is about 1/16” slop when curling the bucket, and the locking pin hole is cut oversized about that much also. This kit comes with a backing plate for the ears that simplify the connection to my older bucket. The listing shows it painted up nicely but it comes in raw steel with some rust. That is not really a problem for me because I would need to wire wheel the paint away at the weld joints. Overall, I am mostly happy with this item but I am deducting one star for the 1/16” play at the pivots. ... show more

    • Just don't think they are welded together...
My husband owns a construction equipment company so we decided to see how these would work. From the pictures it appears they are pre-welded but they are not. You get the three pieces which means you will need to have another piece of equipment and time to install them. The edges are nice, not as rough as a few we have purchased. Probably worth the money, since the metal is high quality, but don't forget you will need time and such to actually get it installed... ... show more

The absolutely sloppiest ears I’ve ever welded onto anything. Must be 1/4” of play on the right side. No fine bucket control at all. Now I guess I get to cut them off and buy someone else’s.
