Purchased these small solar lights to put on the fascia boards of our house along the sidewalk leading to our door. I screwed them about 8 feet apart and they are about 10-12ft from the sidewalk. I’ve had them a few weeks now and set them to come on full bright and stay on for 20 seconds. They work beautifully. I have a mud swallow nest right on the globe of my porch light. I feel bad leaving the light on them. Ups and fed ex can now have light in the fall/winter when it gets dark at 5:30pm. These lights have not failed to come on at all. Each one lights up about 12-15 feet. The rain and roof runoff has not affected the performance. The durability of these are outstanding. It’s very easy to set them how you want. 20second full bright, full bright, 20 second dim bright. Wonderful. I’m gonna get two more for the dogs back yard. I highly recommend these small solar lights.

The HMcity solar lights worked for my purposes. My porch light is having some electrical issues so it is very dim and sometimes blinks. I decided to put these solar lights between the front door and the garage door since the porch light isn't dependable. The coverage area of each solar light is very good. They aren't as bright as I was hoping, but they're more than adequate. Where I have them located, they don't actually get much direct sunlight so I have the lights set to come on only with motion detection (I think it's the third mode). So far, the lights work even with limited direct sunlight (and the brightness is the same as when I first used them after charging for a day in full sunlight). There are a few things that prompted me to give only four stars instead of five. First, the power/mode button is on the back. HMcity changed this with their newer versions, but as it is, the power/mode button on the back is quite inconvenient, especially if you place these high up. Second, the motion detection sensitivity is inconsistent. Sometimes the lights will come on just before pulling into the driveway and other times, they won't come on until I'm about half the distance from the driveway entrance and the light. Finally, on the mode where the lights come on only with motion detection, they stay on for maybe 15 seconds. I wish that was longer or adjustable. Overall, the HMcity solar lights do a good job. Perhaps the newer versions address the areas for improvements, but they are minor so not that big a deal. For the price, I think the lights punch above their weight class as the saying goes.

This is the gold standard for solar motion lights! I've bought them many times. Great battery life, great wide-angle bright light, good mode controls, very weatherproof! I hang them up with wood screws. The magnets and adhesives are very good though and I've used those in other projects. These lights are attractive, durable, and make bright white light. They outperform all my other solar lights and are cheaper too! Definitely pick some up, even if you don't need more lights right now. Somebody you know can use them, and they're a great investment in the future too. We feel much more comfortable going on night walks now that we have some of these out in the woods :) The only thing I will caution you about is that these lights are good at attracting moths when they're running. If you put a light right above your door, you'll bring moths inside the house with you sometimes. I recommend using the motion sensor mode in that use case. It's the only mode I use and my lights are always still able to make bright light at the end of the night. UPDATE: I'm back to buy these yet again. My original lights, bought 1 year ago, are still going strong. No noticeable decrease in performance whatsoever. They've been through about 50 heavy rains and a LOT of direct sun, and look as new as they did in the box.

These are AMAZING! We placed them on our fence and spaced them about 20 feet apart. They are easy to link up and illuminate the yard well to check it before putting our dogs out. They set off quickly when something sets off the motion detector and stay on as long as they detect movement. They have held up well to being rained on a lot and still work. The only time rain affects them is if the day is super cloudy and they aren't able to recharge as well as they do on a normal day. They are small and you hardly even notice they are there. They are easy to install and move around. We tried multiple different lights before trying these and these are the ones that we kept!

Great value nice bright and works nicely with the siding clips (bought separately) so you can install it right on the side of your house without needing to drill holes or anything. It's great but one already died that was installed in September but at this price I don't mind replacing them. They work great.

These are fantastic for the price! If you’re wondering if you should get them, just do it. Great price and they work as I expected. Brighter than I had pictured, too, which was my only concern when ordering. I made the mistake of mounting one in a really shady spot and I had to move it. It was very easy to do so. But definitely plan on putting it somewhere with adequate DIRECT sunlight. Just a small oversight on my part. It’s only been a few days, but eventually we will see how they hold up in the rain and snow. I will say they are all plastic and not “luxurious” or “fancy” by any means, but for the price and quick delivery they are splendid for my needs (I work nights and have dogs). I mounted 3 along my back fence and one in side yard. I will be ordering additional for the opposite side yard! Finally, there are three functions. The 3rd click of the button is the feature I use, which stays on in the dark and brightens further when it senses motion. Perfect for fetch in the dark 😂
