I just purchased this cable and took a gamble since all of the prior reviews were from VINE people who got it for free. (I paid $50 under the well-known brand cable also available so for 25% less, and free amazon returns, what could go wrong?) Answer: nothing. The cable from Seguma is well-made heavy cable and works perfectly with no loss in power, no noticeable excess heat, and solid connectors. I received no incentives for this honest review. Background on why I purchased this cable: I've been driving EVs for 12 years now and as such, I have one of the very old original Ecotality (long since bankrupt) Blink chargers that still works great but can't deliver more than 24A (even on my 240V/40A circuit). I just purchased a new 2023 Tesla Model Y (which came with the Female J1772 adapter to the Tesla NACS/SAAW J3400 plug) which allowed me to plugin my old charger to my new Tesla perfectly and get 24A. The problem was that with the charge door at the rear of the Tesla, and my garage space very tight, I couldn't back the Tesla in and be close enough for the charger cord to reach. So I was down the path of a Tesla Wall Connector and a 60A circuit upgrade to get the full 48A charger my Model Y could handle. $1500 for the circuit upgrade and another $500 for the wall connector - and I was looking at $2k... for what? So I could charge the entire battery in 6 hours during super-off-peak? I realized I never need to go that far and could always put it on the supercharger if I needed to. The cable: So after evaluating all of the options in the market (extending my NEMA 6-50 outlet with an extension cord, extending the length of the outlet to bring the charger closer, etc.) I stumbled across this J1772 extension cord from Seguma ... with no reviews from people that had purchased the cable. It came well packaged, connectors protected, entire cable protected in plastic for that matter, in a nice case (that I'll never use the cable will just be run down the side of my garage on the floor). It's the almost exactly cable used on my original Blink charger, solid, good quality rubber, the right about of flexibility but not too much. Now I have Charger (J1772 Male) -> (J1772 Female) Seguma Charging Cable (J1772 Male) -> (J1772 Female) Tesla included Connector (NACS/SAAE J3400 Male) -> 2023 Tesla Model Y Performance (total of about 41ft total) Initial tests have been fine. I still get the full 24A I was getting off of the charger before using this extension cable. I saved $1850 off of the upgrade to a wall connector option and 25% off of the competitor cable everyone seems to always purchase on Amazon. I'm very happy with my purchase thus far but will update this review if I ever have any issues.

This 21ft EV extension cable is absolutely perfect for my EV Hummer! The build quality is outstanding—durable, weather-resistant, and built to last. The cable, housing, and connector all appear to be of high quality. It works well to charge my car when connected to my Level 2 charger running at 32 amps. The one issue - the connection between the J1772 connector on my charge cable and the female end of the extension cable is not secure. The locking mechanism doesn’t ensure the cables are fully connected, so it’s possible to pull them apart a few centimeters while still locked together. This disconnects the cables and stops electricity flowing to the car.

(Update) I was able to exchange the cable without issue and the replacement came new and with everything included. (Old review) Cable does work but I received a used item. Mine was missing the bag shown in the amazon picture, the cable was already unwrapped and box was full of empty plastic bags.

This extender failed after a year and got stuck in my car. It took hours to get it out. Apparently it’s a known problem. Do not buy this. SEGUMA should issue me a refund ASAP.
