I've only had it a week or 2 and so far it seems good. It's light weight which I needed because of my shoulders and the pain. So this is easier to push. I liked the lights in the front but the only thing is I don't like that you have to push your foot on the front of vacuum to make it go back before you vacuum!! I thought there was a pedal but nope. It sounds like it's going to break everytime I do it and you have no choice, you have to do it in order to vacuum! So we will see about this vacuum as time goes on. Also the one attachment piece for vacuuming couch or stairs , that falls off front non stop and it doesn't stay. It fell off the last time and all the pieces came apart! And it fell on carpet before I even started to vacuum. So not sure how to get it back together now! So a few things I'm not happy with and sometimes I wonder how good the strength is as far a sucking up cat hair and stuff. It's so light weight but I change the controls on it and it seems ok but Again I wanted to try it because of lights. I have 2 cats shedding right now so I hope it's really doing its job. But not a bad vacuum. My house is all carpet except the kitchen so I need a powerful vacuum that lasts longer then months or a year. Oh and the rewind cord I love! No more dragging cords or having to wrap it! So just find a different spot for the one piece because mine never stays. Other then that it's fine! ... show more

This vacuum is fantastic. It's very easy to put together and works great. The only negative feature is there's no button to push to release it from upright position. There's a footprint on the front that you step on to release and it works but it sounds like something is going to break. I’ve had this vacuum for 1 year and 4 months. I always wait a decent period of time before I review items. Pros: Lightweight. Cord rewind. Decent suction. Easy to clean. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to carry around by the handle on top of the canister. I have 2 yellow labs so good suction was a must. It definitely takes care of the fur on the floors and the furniture. I like the cord rewind but it feels weird that it is on the opposite side as the button used to rewind it. I LOVE how easily the canister and the parts inside come apart for a thorough cleaning, so that odors do not build up inside. Cons: Lock Mechanism broke after 1 year, one of the attachment mounts on the side of the canister broke off in the first week. The hose is too short and the attachment that comes with it is also too short. I cannot even go up a standard 8’ wall to get cobwebs out of corners. The vacuum does not “lay down” far enough to get under beds or tables. The lock mechanism that keeps the vacuum upright broke after about a year. I have no kids, it has not been handled roughly. So now if I need to use attachments I have to lay it down on the floor. The mounts for the attachments are plastic and very weak. I bumped the wall within the first week and one broke right off. The hose is definitely too short and not flexible enough. There is no hope vacuuming under beds or coffee tables, or any semi-low piece of furniture. When using the hose/attachments it falls over (even before the lock mechanism broke) because it is so lightweight. I had high hopes for this vacuum, I wish it was sturdier. ... show more

    • Easy to use and so light weight! NOT A DYSON

I really did not want to like this little machine. I have been die-hard Dyson for over twenty years. I currently own three and have purchased four in my lifetime. All $300 or more. Three of them specifically for pet hair. One is less than five years old and the trigger broke on the wand, which is necessary to go from hard floor to carpet....the other one has a broken agitator and it was purchased in 2020 or 2021, so it is useless on carpet. This little gem came out of the box quickly and I easily put it together. It made me sick to see how much stuff it picked up the first time I used it since I had been using inadequate machines for some time. For the price of this machine, I can easily replace it every other year and I would STILL be saving a ton of cash! It is easy for me to take it to the second floor. I had to lug the other brand. We have very long hair in addition to being pet owners. We empty the can every time and sometimes it needs to be disassembled to remove hair that is wound around the inside. It is one quick turn of the purple thing, and hair slides right out. It really amazed me how simple and effective it is. ... show more

Where do you start when something is this bad. Lightweight, yes it is, when you use the attachments/hose it is constantly falling over due to the lightweight nature of the unit. The hose for the attachments is too short. The bristles on the brush are also too short, rather than being a brush it is more of a scraper. The crevice tool is too wide, it needs to be thinner so it can actually get into a crevice. Once you remove the handle for the attachments, how are you supposed to move the vacuum cleaner around? What if you need to move it up or down the stairs while using the attachment handle, there is no way to pick it up if the handle is out and being used. The suction control on the end of the hose will not stay in one position, opened or closed, you are constantly losing suction. The cord being on the right side of the vacuum cleaner is always getting tangled up or in the way. Why did it get moved from the left side? The foot control to lower the unit for use is terrible. It feels as though you are going to break it by stepping on it and the loud snap it makes once it does move sounds as though you already have broken it. The dust cup inside the canister will become plugged with even the smallest piece of paper, greatly reducing the suction. It does pick up pet hair, which quickly gets caught and tangled in/on the dust cup, again reducing the suction. From the start the suction of the vacuum is/was O.K., but nothing great or spectacular. This vacuum cleaner feels cheap in every bad sense of the word. I would avoid this one at all costs, it is not a good vacuum cleaner and right out of the box it feels as though it will not last very long. The only good thing on it are the LED lights, they are good and bright, so you can really see what this vacuum cleaner is not picking up. ... show more

Lower Quality cheap construction. Can’t even turn off the brushes. Suction was good. But you can tell it’s a low price cheaper vacuum. If you’re looking for a cheap vacuum, that is pretty basic might be a good fit. If you want something nicer, you might want to look elsewhere.

We have a cat, a dog and three large macaws. So, there's a LOT of hair and feather dust in our home. And, it's pretty much wall to wall carpet throughout. Not our choice, but rippin' it all out and putting in flooring ain't gonna happen soon. This vacuum DOES a very good job! It can be a bit awkward to maneuver sometimes, but our last vacuum had a swivel, so we got spoiled. By and large, this one does a good job close to walls and fits under things pretty well. The front is not too high, and it does seem to pick up very close to the leading edge of the floor part. Attachments are OK. Not great, but OK. Of course, the so-called "power brush," by whatever name, doesn't work for beans. None I've ever had has worked as advertised, so no surprise. The dusting brush and crevice tool are adequate, though. If you want to do high vacuuming, you have to remove part of the handle. Not a big deal, but as with all vacuums with these kinds of hoses, that "10 feet of reach" they all claim is a joke. The suction keeps the hose from extending much more than maybe four or five feet, if you really tug on it. But, the suction IS quite good! The tank holds quite a bit and you can see when it's getting full. Emptying the receptacle is a breeze, one of the easier I've dealt with over the years. The filter is easy to remove and clean, as well. Overall, this is a good product. I do recommend it. I especially appreciate the retractable power cord! That was the clincher when I bought this unit. I really dislike dangly power cords and it seems that vacuums nowadays don't give you a very secure way to wrap the cord. So, having this feature is what made this purchase much more attractive. Hope this helps with your decision. I try to be as honest as possible. This unit has impressed me with its power and ease of use, so, yeah, I think it's a good buy. ... show more

I highly recommend buying this vacuum. I've been buying Hoover products for years and decided to go back to Eureka. I like that it has a lot of suction, a retractable cord, a canister instead of a bag and is lightweight. Hoover has that too, but after making comparisons, I'm sure I bought the right product.
