  • Not only the most affordable coming but also the best canister
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
This is my favorite vacuum I've ever had. I bought it because it was the most affordable and I thought that I would prefer a bag and fewer gimmicks. But I'm reviewing it because this vacuum is worth it's weight in Dyson filters. If it died after a month of uses, I would buy another one. I have multiple indoor pets, kids, and a single family house. Obviously this vacuum doesn't do everything and house requires, but the job that it does, it does better than any other vacuum. Super easy to change the bag. Has zero bells and whistles. It literally turns on and turns off. You can change out between three attachments. It's got a really long hose attachment on it so you can stand up while using it. It's got a super powerful suction. It's probably the best suctioning hose vacuum I've ever had. Does a super job on cat hair couch, did a super job in the car. I travel around my house about once a week with this thing and get every nook and cranny. You'll want to have a regular vacuum. For carpets and floors and what not. But if I only get to use this vacuum for the six times I've used it and then it died tomorrow, it would have been worth every penny. ... show more

  • Eureka WhirlWind vs Bissell Zing
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
I very rarely write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so today after using the Eureka WhirlWind that was delivered today from Amazon. Yesterday when ordering this machine after my 3-year old Bissell Zing finally bit the dust with the smell of burning plastic and loss of almost all suction, I was looking for a review like THIS ONE to let me know if I should buy the same Bissell Zing again (the devil you know) or try this Eureka WhirlWind out (the devil you don’t). For those looking for a fast answer, I will tell you right now, the Eureka WhirlWind won by a mile. This is a far superior machine and comparatively priced. For those who are looking for the reasons I feel this way I have quite a bit to write. At the beginning of the pandemic, 3 years ago, I was forced to downsize my living space significantly. I moved from a very large multiple level place to a small apartment of 500 square feet. Like everyone else during the beginning of the pandemic I was forced to buy pretty much everything online. When I moved into my new place I ordered 4 area rugs from Amazon and chose high pile shag rugs (all are in my photos) as well as a no pile indoor/outdoor rug for the bathroom. My old upright vacuum cleaner from the old place would have handled these rugs wonderfully, but it was too huge to store anywhere in my new place, so I had to give it away. What I needed was a small vacuum cleaner that could be broken apart in sections and stored under the kitchen sink. I found the Bissell Zing on Amazon and ordered it immediately. When it arrived it seemed to fit the bill. It was the right size and easy to store. But right from the first use on my high pile shag rugs and it was a struggle. The Zing was very limited- did not move easily along the shag rugs and really seemed to do a poor job. Vacuuming was HARD and it was not fun- it was like an aerobic workout and the rugs never seemed to be fully free of my cat’s hair and my long hair. Still it was all I had and I just lived with it. Also with the Zing, which is bagless, like the Eureka WhirlWind, the filter was a paper honeycomb-like thing, which I hated right away. It was not easy to clean at all. I truly hated cleaning that filter! So ok, that’s what I was dealing with and I vacuumed about once a week, hating the process. After less than a year the extension wand sections, which were plastic, began to crack. It may have been all of the pressure I was forced to use to vacuum the shag rugs. Maybe if I had just low pile rugs or floors that might not have happened. But it did. It made vacuuming ever HARDER. Oh, what a chore. I got out my friendly duct tape, bandaged the plastic and resumed and went on this way for another 2 years until yesterday when I plugged in the Zing and started vacuuming and heard an unhappy sound from the motor and smelled burning plastic. Then I lost almost all suction. It had been used approximately 150 times on the rugs and floors shown in my photos. I threw it in the trash. Since my main concern was being able to store it under my kitchen sink, I could find only 2 options under $100 here on Amazon- another Zing or the Eureka Whirlwind. I read all reviews for both. I knew the Zing quite well and knew it’s limitations and was scared to get stuck with something worse (god forbid!) but I went with the Eureka WhirlWind instead. Mind you, there are a million better vacuums out there & more money will get a better machine, but the Eureka Whirlwind is much better then the Zing for MANY reasons. First of all, it was simple & brainless to put together. I think the Zing was simple as well. But as soon as I used it today it was OBVIOUS to me how much stronger the suction was and I did not have to struggle in the same was as I did with the Zing to get it across my high pile rugs. It picked up MUCH more and I honestly think my rugs got the best vacuum they have ever experienced. They are cleaner with the WhirlWind and it was EASIER to vacuum with the Whirlwind. Other features that I found make the WhirlWind better: The extension wand is METAL with the WhirlWind, not plastic, like the Zing. So even if I had to apply the same kind of pressure, the wand is stronger and will not crack. Also, the cord is 2 feet longer than the Zing, meaning I only have to plug it in to one outlet to do my whole place. But another thing I find incredible is NO MORE honeycomb paper filter! Thank goodness! The filter on this Whirlwind is FLAT and appears so much easier to wash. Hallelujah. My vacuuming experience just now with the Whirlwind took 1/2 of the time than it took with the Zing and came out cleaner and it took less physical effort from me. So that is something you should know. This is an EXCELLENT low priced, basic, small vacuum. I will do my best to update this review only if something goes wrong and I end up hating the WhirlWind,, but so far I am thankful I did not get another Zing. ... show more

  • Pleasantly Surprised
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
So far, so good. I’m not giving it 5 stars just because I’ve only used it once after it was delivered. Super simple design helped make for an efficient vacuum. First thing I did was put some static guard on the wands and floor attachment bc it was an immediate magnet for pet hair. We have almost all hard floors except for two flight of stairs being covered in carpet and a large area rug. For not having a power brush, it did really well on the carpet but the suction was way too strong for the very low pile and light area rug. Maybe because it’s so cheap, but the wand pieces not clicking together became kind of annoying pretty quick when it repeatedly fell apart. My husband even tried really jamming them together to no avail. Nothing some tape won’t fix. Cord length didn’t bother me. It being so light made it super manageable to use. I definitely could’ve used this when I was pregnant instead of my kenmore—which pooped the bed on me after only a few years. ... show more

  • Perfect little machine - know your needs
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
My needs - I have a house with laminate flooring and large and small rugs, wool and synthetic, carpeted stairs, and upstairs is entirely carpet. (I haven't tried cleaning the car yet, no doubt that's going to be a success.) First off, this machine has outstanding suction. I've had it one week and there's a lever on the top you can push to allow air flow for vacuuming back and forth or just single flow for straight suction and it get the job done. There is so much suction created around it that it's even coated in wool rug fibers or dog hair that didn't make it inside. I don't even need to go back twice, the suction is so good. Be prepared, it feels incredibly lightweight, maybe even cheap. I thought, how can this thing be well made? But it does everything I need it to do. The lightweight factor is wonderful when vacuuming each carpeted stair and dragging it up and down the stairs. So, this is actually a huge plus. There are 2 pipes that you connect for length when vacuuming the floor. On the stairs I take one pipe out and the length is perfect. The head is wide enough that it's effective for vacuuming (again, one stroke works for my short length rugs), but it's flat enough that it fits under everything - low chairs, couches, etc. If I push the lever on the head down flat, I can't draw it back and forth easily (the suction is too strong), but it's flat, so I can push it waaay back under the couches and get that dust that is so hard to reach without moving the couches. This is a big plus for me. The pipes all connect by friction, just pushing them together. Sometimes they pop off if you catch something and pull too hard, but my last ($450) vacuum (which was heavier but I loved) broke beyond repair when the connector to the head snapped where there was a locking mechanism, and that part is now discontinued. So frustrating!! So, this little vacuum seems like it will be less likely to "snap" anywhere because the parts will disconnect under pressure. I hope that turns out to be the case. My son assembled the unit and I used it right away. Forgot to add a bag and I was very upset - but the bag is inside already! Well done, Eureka!! The cons to this machine, as far as I can tell after multiple uses in the first week, are that there is no automatic cord winding mechanism. But, the cord is longer than my last machine - if I plug it in the middle of the house, it reaches the ends of both sides of the house. Obviously this depends on your home, but my other vacuum was just a few feet short. I can then also vaccum the entire stairs and then move the cord 1 time to get the entire house. I don't like winding the cord, so in a pile it goes if I'm lazy. Worth it for not having to move that cord!! This is not a self propelled machine. You must push the vacuum, it does not "propel" itself with a turning brush. There is a brush, but it's not motorized. I am a reasonably strong 40+ woman and I am happy to push it, but if you have medical issues and can't push it, this could be a more physical job. I expect vacuuming to be work, so I'm fine with this and feel the low cost is worth it. I believe it also is related to the reduced weight of the machine and its tools. I hope this review is thorough and helpful for those making a decision. I never purchase warranties, but given the lightweight nature of this machine, I think I would have considered it. I paid $81 for this machine after taxes. I would definitely be described as frugal and cost conscious. Considering the varied reviews and high cost of other well rated machines, I am very happy with my purchase! I don't write reviews very often, but I want other consumers to know the pros and cons so they can make an educated decision. ... show more

  • Very User Friendly
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
Purchased 11/2024, 2 years ago. Love this little vacuum because it follows me easily as I work my way around the house using the long handle and creves tool to vacuum the perimeter of floor where the dog hair accumulates and the upright vacumn misses. I use the creves tool to vacuum the cold air return vents. I use the floor surface attachment for my hardwood floor. (I use a regular upright vacuum for the carpeting). The unit is lightweight, I vacuum the stairs easily, it has powerful suction. The filter is easily replaced. The power cord is pretty long, though I do use an extension cord. The power cord wraps/stores on the unit. I store the vacuum, extensions and tools in its original shipping box, and cover it with a kitchen trash bag to keep it clean. I give this 5 stars and fully recommend this. It would be good to use to vacuum the car, vehicles. Is way less noisy than a standard shop vacuum. ... show more

  • Super strong suck! and very lightweight. Not the best for 'every' rug.
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
What do I say about this little vacuum? It is AWESOME, but yet I'm still a teensy bit disappointed? I guess I was hoping for a complete upright replacement, and yeah, it isn't. I have 2 rugs of short, yet very dense pile that will still need my old upright for a deeper 'rug beater ' clean. That said, this little vac works GREAT on my bare floors (90%) of my home. Sucks dirt and particles I didnt even know I had out from under my baseboards, (using just the wand with no brush or crevice tool , a few pine needles from a 'live' Christmas tree 2 years ago came out and paint chips from a reno 7 years ago came out!) I got super nasty dust off my ceiling fans with the little brush attachment thing without significant effort on my part and likewise was able dust my winow blinds with same attachment and minimizing the level of 'suck' by opening the adjustment port on the handle. Very impressive! Still, I wish I could vacuum my two nice rugs. It works well on my Home Depot shaggy rug and my Home Depot 'Oriental' rug, but yeah either sucks too hard and get stuck on my good rugs or it just skips over the surface and doesn't suck anything. So. I am still giving 5 stars as a tool to add to my home cleaning arsenal. Truly I am impressed. That said, depending on your rug situation, be aware, it may not be great for every rug type. For me, given 90 percent of my house is hardwood floors or tile, this will be my go to the majority of the time, it gets under most of my furniture and bookcases, it's pulling stuff out of nooks and crannies on my baseboards and the seams of my couches and recliner, (goodbye Sunday binging TV cookie crumbs) it is sucking up all the dog hair dust bunnies (I have a labrador and a bulldog, although honestly, the bulldog doesn't shed much but my labrador sure does!) And without mopping, my hardwood has rarely looked this shiny. So, even though I was hoping to completely replace my upright I will say, I am very pleased with the performance of this little vac. For the price? Really, I don't think you will be dissatisfied. 5 stars after 2 hard core uses (every scenario I could think of to put it through). We'll see how it goes in 6 months. The extension poles ARE plastic, not metal, if they hold up , we'll be golden. The plastic doees keep it very light though which is why the ceiling fans weren't difficult. So I'll take it. Oh, last thing the attachments and cord stow away nicely, the wand and hose, not so much. I have a bigger utility loset so that doesn't bother me, but if you need your vacuum to be really 'tidy' in storage, you may want to take that into consideration. ... show more

  • My second one
Color: Yellow Size: 3670M with 5 bags
These vacuum cleaners are quite good. The attachments are decent enough and the suction is good. Much better than the uprights. First one is still running after countless years. This is a backup, they can't last forever, but they are sure trying. Good value.
