  • Great idea for home or office, with one minor issue…
This water cooler (and warmer!… and heater!!), is a great idea for home or office. Y’know, conversations around the water cooler and all that. The thing I like most about this is that fact that the machine sits *above* the water bottle. Why do I say that? Because most water coolers have the bottle above the cooler and the water dispenses through gravity. While this is a pretty foolproof method, being as gravity is unlikely to suddenly stop working and, if it did, getting a glass of water would not be a high priority, right? With the bottle below the cooler, the water has to be pumped up into the cooler (or warmer, or heater) tank. The pump could go bad, the electricity could go off, and the cooler wouldn’t work. So there is that. But the main thing with this design is that you don’t have to lift the bottle up. Given that five gallons of water weighs about 42lbs, you’re lifting maybe 45lbs. Which is significant and could slip and hurt someone. The “minor issue” for me is that this coolers doesn’t fit my water bottles. It *nearly* does, missing by about 1/4” as you can see in the third photo. The bottles I have are squarish with a big indent in the bottom (photo 1) designed to allow the bottles to stack (photo 2). With the pump attached to the top, the bottle and pump attachment don’t quite fit into the bottle compartment and there’s no way to bend or otherwise move it around to get it to fit (except I could cut 1/2” off the top of the bottle, but that would mean I couldn’t use the bottles’ screw-on cap). So I’ll have to go get the regular, and shorter, round bottles that don’t stack. Also, one minor revision to the instruction booklet: it states that you have to bend the “straw” within the water bottle so that the end that sits below the water level for the pump to extract the water. This must have been for an earlier version of the machine since the “straw” is a metal rod and doesn’t bend. It also doesn’t quite reach the bottle of the bottle (pic 4), though that’s not an issue since I can’t use these bottles anyway. So, as long as you use these regular round five gallons water bottles you should be ok and this is a good machine to have. Recommended. ... show more

  • Nice 3-temp water dispenser
I have had a water dispenser for over 10 years and love the convenience. The only downside was the bottle on top of it so I have always wanted a bottle in the bottom version. So I got this one. It's a nice looking unit (black on top and stainless on the bottom). It really simple in design a wand with a metal tube in inserted into the 5 gal bottle of water. A small (almost silent) pump then pulls the water up into 3 reservoirs (one for hot, cold and ambient water temps). Each holds enough for 2-3 larger glasses of water and refills almost instantly but does take a few minutes to cool or heat the fresh water. Out of the box I had the water bottle installed in 2 mins and had hot/cold water in under 5. The buttons feel cheap and wiggle but do press and dispense water as they should. There are separate hold and cold powers switches on the back so you could leave them off and have room temp water from any button (or if you only want hot or cold and not all 3). No complaints. It's a good value for the money, seems well made (in line with my branded one). If this one lasts as long as the last one did it's a slam dunk. ... show more

  • Review after a few weeks...
All right so after going back and forth on this thing I will give it 4 stars. It's really easy to get frustrated with this water machine because it's a bit high-tech but if you can get it figured out then it works fine. Here's what's frustrating that it has two internal water tanks that are constantly filling up and emptying your bottle that's on the bottom but unless you know that it's going to drive you nuts. Because what happens is the machine starts beeping that the water is empty yet you're still able to pull water from the machine why? Because the tanks fill up so it's trying to warn in advance that you're going to run out of water soon but like no other machine I know of is like that so unless you know about that extra step it can be quite frustrating. A red light will come on to let you know the water is low but when the red light is on and it starts beeping that's when it's like you need to change the bottom bottle but again water is still coming out so it can be confusing because the tanks internally are full still. The other reason why I have to give it one star down is because the room temp water is almost as cold as the cold but I can't completely say this machine is horrible because the stick that goes inside the bottle makes it a lot easier than the hose on my last machine and the door doesn't slide up and down it actually opens and closes like a door so those things are what makes me keep it four-star rather than go down to three. I will say that if you're looking to replace your rental this is a great machine but if you decide to buy instead of rent you're losing out on maintenance so unless you actually know how to maintain your machine I wouldn't recommend buying to own but if you are looking to buy to own this machine might be a good one because it has a self-cleaning feature. All in all it's a good machine and this will be my final review on it ... show more

  • 3-temperature water dispenser that works great
This is a great 3-termerature water cooler that has the water bottle stored inside the unit versus gravity-fed from the top. It looks much better than the old standard water coolers. There are switches on the back to enable/disable the hot or cold water functions if they are not needed. It saves energy, but then you would only have the room-temperature water being dispensed. When they are both enabled, the hot water is very hot, enough so it is the same as the instant-hot water heaters they have for RO systems. The chilled water is very cold, and that is refreshing on a hot day. One point to note is that it holds the standard, round 5-gallon jugs in the base. I have other ones from Sam's Club that are 4-gallon square jugs that do not fit in that space, so be aware of that if using non-standard bottles. ... show more
