  • We Couldn’t Ask For More
Color: Gray Granite
This tub turned our home into what feels like a vacation house. We’re 5 months in, we have an active family that uses the tub multiple times per day. Seating 7 adults would be a stretch but it’s great for 3 adults and could likely fit 4 comfortably. Most of the time, there’s only 1 or 2 using it and it’s absolutely perfect for that. A couple of strong individuals can move the tub around when empty. We set it on a firm foam mat on top of a brick patio. The foam mat insulates the unit from the ground to save a little energy. Set-up was very easy. We flushed out the shipping antifreeze as well as we could. After filling to a point above the filter, we had to slightly loosen the PVC connection on the top of the pump, bleeding the air out of the system. Gently retightened. After that, we were in business. Looking inside the mechanical area, I propose this is a well-built tub with parts readily available from many spa manufacturers and parts suppliers. Much of it is made by Balboa Instruments. The components are neatly assembled and the wiring is organized and tidy enough. The access door was loose and rattled but was easily fixed with a bit of self-adhesive backed foam and some adjustment to the keyed latch. We were missing the clips that hold down the cover in high winds and emailed Strong Spas. They responded within a few hours and the parts were delivered within a day or two at no charge. The cover is well-made and is easily removed and installed by one person. I don’t see any need for a cover lift for us... perhaps some may need one. The cover is essentially two Styrofoam half circles covered in a nicely sewn leather-like vinyl. We currently have the tub running on 110 volts. We have a dedicated 20 amp circuit for it and haven’t had any problems. Concerning heating, we filled it using the hot water connection that normally feeds our washing machine simply because we wanted to use it right away. However, the cover was left off one evening for about 6 hours, the tub got down to 97 degrees, the ambient air temperature was 50 degrees. The tub had no problem getting back to 104 degrees overnight; it was ready the next morning at 7 am. We sit in the tub for about 15-20 minutes at a time and it loses about 2 degrees when it’s 40 degrees outside. We’ve only had a couple of mornings in the mid-30s but it didn’t seem respond any differently. I don’t see any reason to switch to 220v yet. We’ll see what happens in February’s -5 degrees. Concerning chemicals, we’re still learning. We filled the tub with well water. If you do the same, perhaps get an RV filter that fits on the end of a hose to filter out iron and the like. Iron gets ugly with an oxidizer. We’re using bromine as a sanitizer and it’s a breeze if you add chemicals a little at a time and check the levels with a strip. Here’s what we should have started out with... RV hose filter, 1” bromine tabs, PH decrease, Alkaline increase, non-chlorine oxidizer, mini plastic bromine floater and test strips. To get it started, we should have added enough bromine to create a base of available bromine (I used the powder that’s at the bottom of the 1” tabs container), we only needed 2-3 tablespoons to build it up, from there, we rely on the floater to maintain the bromine level. Overall, we can’t say enough about the tub. I’ll think about posting a review as the season gets colder. Like another reviewer said... “just get one!” Update: 1.5 years in and we still use it every day. We’re still on 120v… No problems except for when it’s used multiple times throughout the evening on a cold night. It takes about 1 hour to gain 1 degree. Otherwise, using it for 25 minutes, even in negative 5 degrees Fahrenheit, all is fine. Absolutely nothing has malfunctioned or needed replacing. We keep the temp set to 104 degrees, throughout the winter and down to 101 in the summer. If this tub broke and was unrepairable, we’d order another one without hesitation. ... show more

  • Customer Service won't reply 🤷 Customer Service won't reply 🤷
Color: Cobblestone
I had a saluspa Miami inflatable hottub for like 2 years before it gave out, this is a perfect upgrade, just wanted one for the occasional dip, and didn't want to spend too much. Delivery was alright, only thing that bugs me was that the cover was damaged and customer service never replied to my emails, but it works. The clips it came with to secure the cover were kinda of a pain to figure out where to place them, you have to use a drill and screw them in the side, there's no predrilled holes, at least I didn't see any. The jets are fine I guess, not super powerful, only one seat has good jets, the rest are blah. I don't know about fitting 6 people unless you want to be rubbing legs😳😁. I had to do the bleeding process described in the handbook because the jets weren't working, but I figured it out, it was a pain to unscrew the PVC pipe inside to get the air to bleed out, but I got it. I used a thick rag and a large set of pliers. I have the 110v plug and play with the 220 convertible option. It's been 20 degrees here in Utah and the heater seems to be kicking in and keeping it warm, I keep it at 104 all the time. If I go in when it's cold and use the jets it will stay at 104 for the first 10-15 minutes then slowly drops to 100 and lower. I usually stay in like 45 minutes anyway so it works. Using the jets won't let the heater kick in with the 110v plug and play setup. The balboa heating pump I have says it pulls 32amps so I figure I'll install a 8-3 gauge wire with a dedicated 40amp GFI protected breaker later so I can use the jets and heater at the same time. I use bromine with a floater, and I make sure to use a little bit of shocker after a dip. All in all it's nice! I did find a lose grey wire by the light assembly which I can't find anywhere in the handbook what it's for and customer service never replied to my emails. So yeah when something bad happens I think I'm gonna be on my own. So keep that in mind. ... show more

Absolutely love this! Easy set up. I doesn't look like your typical plastic hot tub. You do need a dedicated breaker for this or it will trip.

  • Pump dead after 1.5 years of very little use Pump dead after 1.5 years of very little use
Color: Gray Granite
After 1.5 years of very little use the pump has died. Of course the warranty is only for 1 year. I used the hot tub for a total of 6-8 months since I’ve owned it for 1.5 years. I fully winterized it for 4 month during the winter time in Arizona where it never freezes. And then during the hot Arizona summer (4 months) basically used it as a mini pool. Just letting the pump run on low to circulate the water twice a day. In the spring and fall I’d have it at full temp and might use the hot tub once a week for 15-30 minutes. Still keeping the circulation set for twice a day. Only other time the pump would kick on was to keep the temp to what it was set at (not very often) as the spring and fall temps in this part of Arizona are very warm. Very light use, yet only 1.5 years into owning it the pump is DEAD. The quotes I’ve received to replace it is $1000 or more. Seriously consider buying a regular hot tub from a local dealership that offer much better warranties and superior products and services. It will be worth the extra cost in the long run. ... show more

  • Good value for the price!
Color: Gray Granite
UPDATE: I converted to 240v and would never go back. Able to keep the tub in the 90's then an hour or two before using it, jack it up to over 100 and it's ready to go (this would take most of the day on 110V). Also great that it keeps temperature when running at full jet speed--the weather now is dipping to 30's or below, don't think the 110v option would have provided enough time before the temperature dropped to luke-warmness. TL;DR: Good tub for price, does the job! Wish I waited a month, got it for $3799, the price just dropped to $3299. Details: Arrive in the 5 weeks advertised. Had some minor issues on delivery. First, the last mile shipper forgot cover in their warehouse so had to call Amazon, the manufacture, then the final mile shipper to sort out what happened. Got delivered, but it was missing locking clips and the incorrect filter was sent. The customer support was very responsive and helpful, they resolved everything. They shipped out and in a few days correct filter and locking clips arrived. Setup was moderately easy, but the instructions failed to note there was a air bleed valve on the pump, this cause me a couple hours of figuring out how to unblock a air lock (eventually online I found a video for another brands tubs that indicated the pump might have a bleeder). I came very close to using channel locks to undo some of the plumbing, which may have created a can of worms, so I hope they update their documentation for others. To be fair, this is my first tub so there's a learning curve. Once set up, it took about 28 hours to get from around 63F to 104F (on 120V). Been using it frequently, the outside weather is in the 40's most nights and it retains a temperature over 100F with pump on high and air jets fully open for at least an hour. Decently powered, no issue with how it performs! Power went out once and it fell to 80F before I could start heating it again. This took another full day before it could be usable, so I'm converting to 240V as I don't like the time it takes to heat up using the plug and play 120V. Also, think when weather gets below freezing here (Massachusetts) might have problems staying hot long enough for me without being able to run heat and jets at same time. Quirks: It's a little tight for the advertised 5-7 people, realistically 4-5 adults comfortably. The captain chair position is a little cramped to sit and have your feet on the foot jets (I'm 5'10"). The access panel would ideally be behind where the captain chair is (what I want to be the back of the spa facing the fall, not the where the stairs are at front of spa where it's visible--I'm guessing due to the limited size it needed to be under the stairs. Lastly, there are little circle areas on the edge that you can sort of use for cup holders, but they're at a bit of an angle and you've got to be careful or your drink will end up in the tub. ... show more

  • Save time by having a small strap wrench on hand.
Color: Gray Granite
The tub matches its description, which is always a good sign. Four people with carry straps had little difficulty in carrying it 150' across the lawn. The instructions mention that air may have to be bled from the plumbing; I've had to do this simple task with every filling, and found that a small strap wrench is NECESSARY. Performance on a 120 volt circuit is very satisfactory, so it is unlikely that I'll bother to switch it to 240 volt. The 110 volt power cord features a GFCI plug. A range of seat depths means that at least one person gets to have it *just right*. I think that the tub arrived with a bit of oil on it from the factory, as I had to empty and wash it well (like it says in the instructions) before I could get the water to stay clear. Frost forms readily on the cover, which means it is doing a good job of keeping heat inside the tub. The tub arrived weeks late on a thoroughly broken pallet, with only the driver of the truck to offload it. He stuck around until I confirmed that the tub had not been damaged, and was clearly delighted to not have to load it back onto the truck. Edit 5/2025. The tub has been "on" constantly since 12/23 with no problems, and has been running well enough on 110V that I've not been inclined to run a new 240v line to it. The water temperature can drop when using the jets with air, but otherwise stays at set temperature even in the middle of Maine winters. The molded-in cup holders all around the rim are too steeply sloped to be of any use at all, but the two on the filter cover work fine. ... show more

I bought mine in 2021. It's not given me ANY problem at all. I live on an island in SE Georgia and it's only about 30 ft I to the salt marsh and corrosion on the heater is non existent so far. This is my 2nd hot tub coming after one of the conventional square tubs and I'll tell you right now that maintenance is much easier on this one. I'm using the 110 plug and play and have no issues on 45° nights. Also, tech support is in the states and is out of this world good. Hope this helps. ... show more
