  • CHEAP PRODUCT DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT IS FALSELY ADVERTISED AND NOT USEABLE! I have had to write this review 4 x because the vendor keeps complaining to amazon that I am violating the protocol for reviews, when truly they don't want people to know they are stealing your money for a product that comes poorly pre-made, with cheap materials and faulty assembly instructions that damage the cheap product even further if you follow it to a t. This product comes with cheap wood that is supposed to be pre-drilled ( necessary if you follow the directions) with holes. to assemble. The product came with its sides already cracking and or breaking from their frame assembly, and missing one full side of pre-drilled holes to put the cheap screws in. Forget using a power drill, it will strip the head of the cheap screws provided leaving you with a half in half out screw that will begin to break the wood, that cannot withstand the weight. If you lose a regular screw driver, you have to apply pressure to the wood frame that cannot withstand said pressure. You will then have a half in half out screw barely holding the nesting boxes, and to use your own screws ( of good quality ) You will turn the cheap wood frame into sawdust. As you will have to add more more holes that were supposed to be pre-drilled doing so will crack the cheap wood as well. To almost secure all flipping doors and roofs you will need to add more pre-drilled holes and alternative screws that the product can't withstand . If you follow the directions to a t, you will actually block the maim function of the opening nesting box because it tells you to line up the sides over the hinges. Essentially nothing lines up as it should to begin with , and with all the mcquivering of trying to fix address assembly issues, you further misaligned the sides of the product and deteriorate it. Try to disassemble and reassemble? Not a chance, doing so will break the cheap wood x barely secured screws and then you will have to drill new holes and repeat the messy falling apart process all over again. The kicker? They charge you $300 plus for a product that is supposed to be able to support chickens to live in , on and around it. The chickens ( 3 total) completely broke the flooring with their weight ( they aren't that big) and the roof ( chickens sit on high places) and within 2 days this thing has a concaved nesting box roof , broken floors from bearing their weight and is essentially being kept together vi tarp and to shield the chickens from the elements. AMAZON directed me to the vendor who then tried to buy me off with a 20$ reimbursement. I pushed back and they claimed that I could only receive $50-70 reinburs, ment for a $300 + Product that does not work. Very disappointed @ amazon they would let a vendor sell a cheap product and falsely advertise and steal money from their client base. Equally disappointed the vendor won't take accountability for lying to consumers on this useless item. ... show more

  • Love this coop!
I couldn’t believe how much chicken coops are! I was so happy to find a coop for our 4 ladies that didn’t break the bank! The instructions were very clear and went together like a dream. From start to finish it took less than a hour. The material is a little cheap, but what do you expect for 1/3 the price. I’m hoping to get a couple years out of this!! ... show more

  • Absolute waste of money
Very poorly made cheap coop. Easily blows away internet wind. Not weatherproof. Chickens broke the steps off the ramp and roost bars right away just walking in there. Absolutely not predator proof. Walls are paneling thick and flimsy. Definitely not worth it. I could have built a coop this size for under $200 and hadn't amazing coop. Do not waste your money ... show more

  • Adorable, but
Adorable. Not the best paint job for outside some some of the wood isn’t painted that will be exposed to the elements. Not the best directions, all pictures for directions. There are gaps which cause air flow, not good for winter. It’s thin and the wood would be easy to break so must be cautious while assembling. ... show more

  • Absolutely garbage quality DO NOT BUY
This coop is put together in the cheapest way and cheapest quality possible. Walls are paper thin, and it literally falls apart when you use it. It may last 2 weeks. Seller continues to fail to make it right and blames it on shipping damage when it isn't. Do not buy this item!! Plus they made me pay for return shipping due to their mistakes and it was $300 to ship back. Terrible! ... show more

  • Not bad for the price.
Not sure what the other review meant by not looking like the photo. Mine arrived in great shape and unit was easy to put together. Looks exactly as advertised. Material is not meant to last a lifetime but for the price I think it’s reasonable. Also agree with another review to put the tray and roosting bars last. Part #8 has one orientation only - it’s not symmetrical so be careful. Overall it’s a great design. ... show more

  • Very cheap flimsy materials
The entire set arrived in one box that I could easily lift on my own. Every piece of this coop is of the lightest flimsy materials possible. This is why the set is so cheap and can be affordably imported from China. The design is not bad actually, and I consider it a good stop gap coop, but do not expect it to hold up very long. It is only an inch or so off the ground. I put it on some cinder blocks to get it up out of the grass. The wood is the thinnest lightest stuff imaginable. This makes it easy to put together, all you need is a screw driver and a granny could assembly it, but it is not going to protect from weather. There are gaps between the main house and the nesting boxes so it will leak into the interior. The hinges are very light and arrived with some of the pins already bent, although functional. I also bought a large enclosed run separately, which came with a tarp sun shield, so I can keep the rain off the chickens and coop with the tarp. I do not recommend this coop for anyplace extremely cold (chickens will freeze), or anyplace that gets heavy snow (it will collapse). It seems to have been designed for small birds, the nesting boxes are small, although my adolescent birds all try to cram into one box :D. It is large enough for about 6 full sized layers like Rhode Island Reds. It could easily take more smaller birds. The installation instructions are all in pictures and are not bad, but a couple of things were not very clear. The extra strip on the sides of the nesting box sides are to hold up the floor - they go on the bottom. The "right" and "left" on the roof brackets refer to looking at the coop from the back (as you are installing them) not the front of the coop. I put them on backwards and the roof doesn't fully close that way. It's functional and I will probably build one like it as soon as this one degrades but I will make it about 2x the size out of much hardier wood with a roof that completely covers the structure. ... show more
